This question was posted to one of my group runs a few weeks ago; what's everybody's favorite running temperature? For me, 80-85 and humid; love that sweatin'
i had a run in san francisco a few weeks back. 60s, super overcast and misty as fuck. was probably one of my favorite runs ever. i prefer wet rainy runs like that
A good mist can be refreshing on a run, no doubt. It's a fine line imo. It can quickly escalate to a nuisance.
Seeing these comments about enjoying running in the heat makes me feel like Shooter McGavin. "What's wrong with you people, this is golf!"
I want to be able to stand still outside and not feel a whiff of cold air on my skin; that to me is ideal running. It just feels like a more complete workout/athletic performance for my body when it's sweating that much more
Went to a sports medicine doctor about my shins. Found out I have fractures in both. Got MRI's to see if there is anything worse in there. Ugh. Looks like I won't be running for a few more weeks.
I really need to get back into running. I'd gotten to the point where I actually enjoyed it when I completely lost the momentum and have never really tried. But it was nice to just go for a bit.
Went on a 4.5 mile train run today by myself in a nearby park here in the Twin Cities; got to break in my new Salomon trail running shows. Felt great; trail was fairly moist still from recent rains, but still had a great time. Can't wait to put some serious miles on them this summer
What caused you to lose momentum, or is it personal? You should definitely get back into it, especially with a cool Chorus community that seems to be sharing a lot of cool ideas.
i haven't had a solid run in a month. ive had shitty shin splints and now i think i sprained a tendon on the top of my foot.. .. i'm going stir crazy.
Put up six miles on the treadmill yesterday. Am I the only one that doesn't hate running on a treadmill?
In a word, yes haha. Honestly, living in the Midwest, I understand the use for them in the shitty weather depending on where you live. I just much prefer running outside, personally.
Ha, yeah, I get it. I prefer running outside too, but I'm picky on the weather I like running in, so I'm not torn up if I have to get a short run in on a treadmill.
Treadmill running is the worst. I also once saw a man thrown threw a window on a treadmill so I'm always scared if I'm not careful that will happen.
I don't mind treadmill running either; I'm a 5K runner, so it's a great way to work on improving my speed in an easy way
