I usually like 12-14, but yeah, it definitely depends on peak mileage. Every week of the taper should slice out a percentage of the mileage, so your week-out run will be different if you're peaking at 60 mpw than if you're peaking at 100.

Finally getting around to sharing some photos/thoughts from this run. Still didn’t really capture the brain of the run.

Highly recommend it in general, but it truly felt at times like I had the entire city to myself running this early.

did my local 4th 10k this year 20 seconds faster per mile than last year. guess not boozing every day makes a bit of a difference.

Is anyone else’s Strava glitchy as hell right now or is my watch dying?

Strava seems good to me. Your watch hates you.

I just put in to demo run in the Brooks Cascadia 20 before it comes out and give some feedback. I need another daily trainer for the trails so this may work out nice and free for me if they pick me.

mostly stick to roads these days but i tried a trail race last night. feel pretty good about my climbing abilities but boy do i suck at trying to run on a downhill trail. every step felt like i was going to shatter my ankle while i was being passed by a bunch of psychopaths pulling 7 minute miles
