How many calories do you eat a day?

Makes me jealous. I have to meticulously track every single day to not immediately gain weight. My metabolism is crap.

I know my metabolism will eventually slow down, but I'm grateful that running so much has kept it revving like it did when I was 25.

My daily running streak is still going. Two days away from the three year mark. Averaging just over 5 miles per day. This year was a big change without any races and running alone 95% of the time.

thats insane. i've been out of the game for the past 2 months. second consecutive year my achilles tendonitis has flared up right around summer ending.

What does everyone run in re: ear buds? My powerbeats2 might’ve just bit the dust.

I’m one of the odd ones that doesn’t use any music for running. It sounds corny but I like the sounds and nature.

I train to audiobooks, mostly. It’s the only way I’ve fit my love of reading back into my life.

If I’m going for a slow run or running in a new area I’ll run without music (trail runs also never get music of course). I usually stay on pace better that way as even after all these years of running I’ll find myself getting caught up in a song and speeding up / slowing down unintentionally

otherwise I legit just use the wired earbuds that came with my iPhone 5-6 years ago lol

Rarely run with music outside anymore mostly for safety reasons, but if I'm on the treadmill or track I use airpod pros. Heard good things about the Beats Fit Pros as well.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Skullcandy Dime-Chill fit good but when both are in they cut out a lot of outside noise

Decision has been made, signed up this morning for the Beast of the East 100 miler in North Carolina in December. Let the training fun begin!

Just ran my first ever non-treadmill sub-8’ mile in Tennessee (do the five in Florida *really* count with zero elevation change). 7:44, though it did throw off my pacing of the six mile speed work. I was so cold I didn’t keep an eye on my pace at all.

Got on a treadmill for 14 because it’s far too icy to run outside/well below freezing. That was brutal. Gym had a two hour cap on all treadmills (the local marathon is coming up and you could tell most of us were mid-cycle), so had to do the entire thing at my half race pace instead of a solid training pace. Glad to know I still got a sub-2 half in me.

i can't imagine running that long on a treadmill. major props because that sounds like absolute torture

Had to do several double-digit mile runs on the dreadmill the past couple weeks thanks to snow/ice/absurd cold. Sucks but you get used to it a little.

Sucked it up and went outside for a 20-miler yesterday though, that's a bridge too far for the hamster wheel haha.

i sweat way too much to make indoor long runs feasible lol. i can go out in 20-30 degrees and still have my shirt drenched at the end. it sucks.

    same, tbh.

just did seven more treadmill miles and you’d think I was swimming

Six weeks out. Feeling very good and feeling very nervous about feeling so good about it.

Dealing with some niggling plantar fasciitis developing, but managing it quite well and not hurting my training at all.

You can tell we’re hitting marathon season because my entire Strava feed today is spicy distance long runs.

if I hold my training pace from today’s 20-miler, I’ll be sub 4:15, which would be thirty minutes off my first.

If I hold my nineteenth mile pace, I’ll be sub-4. I need that taper to hit me with so much energy, haha.
