RAP Music is better than both RTJ records
bummed RTJ blew up because he said he totally had a RAP Music 2 in the works

 

I don't even think I'm that crazy about RAP Music anymore.

 

I thought he said the plan was to go back to it after this one. I could be wrong, as I usually am.

 

We can have both in this world.

Production on the single is whoa.

 

Love me some RTJ, especially RTJ2. Need some more time with this song.


I never got into RAP Music as much as the praise it gets unfortunately, I keep wanting it to really click for me but it doesn't so much.

 

RTJ > RTJ 2 > RTJ 3

haha idk but it seems like that's where they're headed. i feel like RTJ 1 would've been legendary if they never did anything after that.

My favorite Mike track is probably Big Beast. Blew me away first time I pressed play on the album.

 

My fav Mike track is Don't Die.

I'd love another El-P album.

I totally get why they're playing it safe with RTJ though, I just wish El-P would get weirder with the production and Killer Mike would get angrier in his raps.

 

RTJ sounded like a loose collection of songs, where as RTJ2 feels like an actual album. RTJ2 flows so much better than 1 and in ...Don't Cry and Blockbuster Night 1, they have the two rowdiest and most fun songs either have ever made. Although Go off Rap Music is damn close.

 

I haven't listen to any new stuff yet. I'm waiting to hear it all in the context of the album.

It's killing me.

 

Or maybe they're just having a shit load of fun as a duo. I think that's kinda of obvious, though.
