Liked the first one but didn't care much for the second. Liking this one a lot better, the song with Danny and the Thursday one are both fucking awesome
This album is great. Don't know where all this hate is coming from now. Never heard anyone on this site really say anything negative about them until this album dropped.
The Danny Brown verse has really ruined my life and I don't know if I'll ever recover, same with Zack De La Rocha's. But Danny's ESPECIALLY.
Danny Brown just isn't good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and people can dislike this album or RTJ in general, just felt like it came out of no where.
To say it came out of nowhere is not true You must have missed all of the negative reactions the instant RTJ2 dropped
Also a lot of the criticism is directed at this album, which would mean it did not come out of nowhere but came as a result of the album.
I respect your opinion if you dont like this album, I don't either as a whole. Although if you don't like Stay Gold and Legend Has It I feel bad for you.
I guess this is just one of those albums that clicked pretty instantly for me; like, I'm actually surprised the reception isn't more positive because the songs are that much better to me. Oh well, to each their own!
I honestly must have because I don't remember it hence my original post. Some is towards this album but there have also been a few post aimed at the last album and RTJ in general. My original comment was more me being surprised than anything.
The first time I heard Danny Brown was on the remix of Step by Vampire Weekend and it blew my god damn mind This album is good but it's so surface level that I can only listen to it as background music for something else, like cleaning or playing video games.
it certainly has more style than substance (not that that's anything new), but the substance is there. at least on some of the tracks.
