This is dope but I think RTJ 2 was more instantly memorable for me. The production here is wild though, some of El-P's best stuff easily.
While listening to this album remember: killer mike is the reason Hillary lost & Bernie would have won #STAYWOKE
They'd make pretty good EPs. It's all the same RAP RAP RAP SHOUT HOOK RAP RAP RAP. Quite the slog to get through. That being said there's 3-4 excellent songs and great production at least
It's more of the same. Not necessarily a bad thing, never my favorite but great to drive/play games to
listened to this on a run today. not a lot of super immediate stuff like there was on rtj2. 2100 and panther are probably my early favs
"Hey Kids" is far and away my favorite on here. Made me go back and check out Atrocity Exhibititon which I never gave a shot for some reason, despite loving Old
Thursday in the Danger Room is about as visceral and beautiful a portrayal of the loss of a friend as I've heard this year
Not quite as good as RTJ1, but better than RTJ2 which I still love. Really impressed with this project. Nice to finally have a longer, more sprawling RTJ record since the other two are on the shorter side.
I think I have to go with "Panther Like A Panther" as my favorite as well. It's just a monstrous song.
