Re-recording of the Mercy Street LP from almost 10 years ago!

Someone posted an interview in the comments of his Facebook post, and apparently they attempted a Rufio reunion last year but it took them months to get a single song done so the whole thing got scrapped... Ugh. haha.

Always been partial to The Comfort of Home and its production, but I have a lot of fond memories of that album too.

I wouldn't put it past Scott to re-record all of 1985 at some point. He's a madman. He re-recorded the entire Mercy Street album because the original had a near-unnoticeable delay in the vocals.

  6. I would love that to be honest. The production has always been the worst part.

this is also true of Perhaps I Suppose. The production makes it sound like it was recorded in a trash can

First two albums are two unbelievable pop punk albums marred by bad production. I’d love a re-record of 1985 especially. Perhaps I suppose is passable as it’s a first album which I usually expect is going to have some rough edges

Never really minded the production on 1985

I wish they would release the b-sides to 1985, but Scott said that they were too embarrassing and refused to do it like he did for The Comfort of Home. ha.

The riffs are so good in that era though

Someone could ask 'why do all of his songs sound the same?'

But I don't know how he does it. It's like TSL to me. He can just fucking hit it.

It’s also that he writes an insane volume and puts it all out there. Something like 97 or so officially released songs (not counting the covers album, acoustic albums, re-records of his archives album, BigCity and Mercy) in six years. That’s also not even counting co-writes and scrapped songs lol.

But even still….I agree. I like literally all of it. And learn most of it on guitar.

That time he wrote and recorded something in real time on a live stream. If rufio ever comes back……

They apparently tried writing new music together but the progress was too slow and they scrapped it. His method of cranking out a million songs doesn’t work the same with collaborative stuff, I guess lol

How does he do it? I wish he would rework Being Strange. That track is soooo good but sounds soooo shitty.
