Also getting some Closure in Moscow - First Temple vibes. I'm digging it a lot.

 

I liked it, but it kind of blended together to me on the first listen. Definitely need to spend more time with it.

 

Yep! It's definitely musically similar to the last Sianvar and Stolas albums which could also be compared to Closure, but that's not a bad thing by any means.

 

I've never listened to either of those bands, haha. Worth checking out?

Absolutely, especially Sianvar imo. Sergio Medina is the guitarist/composer of Royal Coda, and he's the lead guitarist of Stolas, as well as in Sianvar, which is another supergroup with himself and Joe Arrington, alongside Will Swan and other Blue Swan Records band members. Check this song out.

 

This is growing on me more with each listen. It’s not perfect but a lot of these tracks are great.

 

this album is worth your time, give it a few listens, the second half is really great. lots of passion from kurt here, i really love that about his voice, and haven't heard a performance from him this good for a while.

 

Solid first listen yesterday. Excited to return. I said it before, but I’ll say it again. Sergio, and Joe just rock the fuck out. They work really good together. Also Kurt’s got some tricks up his sleeve still.

 

album's ok but tracks 4-7 are so boring they may as well just not have happened

Just can't get into the vocals, but Sergio is awesome and super talented. I kind of feel the same way about Stolas, his other band.

Do you like Kurt's vocals in DGD or A Lot Like Birds, or is he just not your thing?

 

Just not my thing, unfortunately.

 

Kurt is my fav DGD vocalist. Didn't know about Eternity Forever. That EP is rad.

 

Loved that EP.

Shame we won’t ever get an album.

 

At least my first listens are given with the knowledge of that. I'd be bummed if that came out with promise of an LP.

 

Jason Ellis (bassist on DGD’s Happiness) will be playing bass on the upcoming tour.
