Round of 64 (Tier 4): Raiders of the Lost Ark vs. Jaws

Half of our yearly winners remain. The matchups are getting tougher. Who will proceed?

It is crazy that Raiders is still in this

 

Went with Raiders but this is probably one of the weakest match ups of the whole bracket for me.

 

Both are the platonic ideal for blockbusters. The landscape has strayed so far from Spielberg’s light. Anyway I voted Jaws.

 

raiders is the worst movie left. jaws still rules.

 

It is Jaws by a good mark, but Jaws in the Sweet Sixteen is a sore thumb.

 

Both are probably my favorite movies left lol and as much as I like Raiders I have to go with Jaws. If it was the last crusade then I would have chosen that though

 

This was bound to happen - that 2 movies I find equals.

Both came out at a time that was very influential for me, as a child. Both at the time were amazing.

Tough Tough Choice for me.

Amazing to decide, and just not fair to me. I have to think on this - lol.

 

Jaws, but I’m still bitter about Do the Right Thing getting knocked out of this section

 

I had never actually sat down and watched either of these all the way through until the past year or so. Enjoyed Raiders more tbh

As much as I love Jaws, ROTLA is what got me interested in archaeology (although real archaeology is far from it), so I have to vote ROTLA.
