This one's brutal. One of my favorites of the last 20 years vs. one of my favorites before I was born. Think I'm ultimately leading HOTH - my favorite LZ vs. probably my third or fourth favorite Radiohead, depending on the day

 

Kid A, not really close.

 

I will vote against Radiohead here, though. Houses of the Holy fucking rips, and Kid A is my fourth favorite Radiohead album on a good day.

 

Kid A might be my favourite Radiohead album but HoTH might be my favourite LZ album too. And come on... No Quarter's the one.

 

This is probably the ultimate rockist poll but I'd still go with Kid A. If everyone in this thread were 20 years older, Zep would probably win.

Gotta go with Kid A, that one is a timeless achievement whereas HOTH is really great but not quite their best imo.

 

Though one for sure, but I gave the edge to HOH

I went with Kid A just cus I've only listened to Houses of Holy a handful of times. Really can't go wrong with either though

 

Houses of the Holy by a MILE. Radiohead don't have a single song that can touch "The Rain Song" or "Over the Hills and Faraway".

 

well that's insane, but i would agree they don't on Kid A. more of a sum of it's parts album than an individual pieces one.

 

What are your favorite Radiohead songs, @phaynes12?

 

"Let Down" is my favorite on a studio album, and pretty much a perfect song. "Lift" has my favorite chorus of theirs, great b-side.

"There There" would probably fill out the top 3

 

I don't know why, but Radiohead is one of those bands for me where I barely know any songs by name, aside from the obvious singles. I can audibly recognize like, 90% of their music, have listened to everything many times, seen them live, etc etc etc.... but looking at track lists, I don't know shit haha

To be clear, I’m not voting against Kid A. It’s very good. And inarguably incredibly important. But song for song not in shooting distance of Houses

 

i voted for HOTH as well. i get it. it was more the line about radiohead not having any songs as good as two off HOTH haha. just plainly disagree with that.
