Ugh what a heartbreaking seed for "Union City Blue". I'd vote for it over the vast majority of the bracket, but "Faithfully" is the platonic ideal of a power ballad.

I was really only familiar with faithfully from girl talk and he sampled the best part of the song and don’t really need the rest.

Have to bump this thread. Had not heard Union City Blue before this poll, gave it a spin before voting and thought it was nice but it kind of breezed by me. Sometime over the past couple weeks it hit me like a ton of bricks, I'm absolutely obsessed with it at the moment.

 

That’s how that song got me too. The melody just winds its way deeper and deeper.
