if it were one of a handful of other songs from FE, FA, I would probably vote for the upset but, as it stands, it's Whitney

 

Whitney over most songs in the bracket for me. And For Emma has the BI songs I'd be most likely to vote for, but this ain't one of em.

You put those verses on another song from the same time and it's not getting the same love at all. The song is carried easily by the chorus.

You realize that’s how song dynamics work, right? For the chorus to explode, it has to come from something smaller.

 

honestly pretty close for me, love both but went with Re: Stacks.

 

Actually have never been particularly crazy for the Whitney song, whereas "Re: Stacks" was all I wanted to listen to for a solid month back in 2008. Bon Iver. Guess I'm voting for all the underdogs this round.
