Veep. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is the best. I’ve tried watching Community several times and always found it to be a struggle.

 

Veep actually helped to realize that she is the MVP of Seinfeld. Seinfeld is playing himself, George is playing Larry David, and Kramer is playing their friend Kenny Kramer, but she helped make that character from scratch. She wasn't even in the pilot but even in the weakest first season she becomes essential.

 

It’s my favorite too, especially because it’s sandwiched between a ton of super vulgar insults. Just so dumb

Truly cannot pick between these two. Most difficult matchup so far by a lot.

 

Community was wonderful and I’m surprised how much less popular it is here now than when it was airing. Is it Rick and Morty sucks = Dan Harmon sucks backlash? I even mostly like season 5&6 despite being a clear step down from the first three seasons.

 

Season 5 was good, season 6 was ok but had some really good moments. The gas leak year was bad.

 

Mannion is actually my favourite character in The Thick of It, he's so fucking good. Capaldi is a legend too of course

I love JLD, but Veep always felt too remake-y to me, and Community saved my life, so this is an easy one

man I was super depressed in university, found a show that made me laugh but also made me realise some shit and figure out how to talk about things before they got really bad and I did something drastic. I was not gonna elaborate on this in a thread about comedy shows lol but you're kind of a dick and I would like to end this conversation. hope that helps!

With Community’s later years it goes
Season 4 is mostly terrible but there are 1 or 2 episodes that actually are pretty solid in there
The first half of Season 5 is great (up until Troy leaves) and then the back half half of Season 6 ends very strongly.

 

100%. There is one season as good as the first three if you combine the good halves of the last 2.
