    Same ^

I've listened to a lot of music and if I don't feel the need to go back to a record often (or ever) then that tells me all I need to know. Paranoid is good but it falls into that category for me. Blue album ftw

  2. Two borderline perfect records, absolutely brutal matchup and Rivers would want me to vote Paranoid but I have to say Blue Album

This is not a “come on” matchup, you’re looking for the Rumours / CTTM thread

Illmatic should have won this whole tournament, and I recently called Paranoid rock’s Illmatic, so obviously I’m voting Paranoid and I hope it goes all the way

i love both albums but acting like one doesn’t have a much, much bigger legacy than the other is baffling. just say you don’t listen to metal lol.

It's not like The Blue Album doesn't have a big legacy of its own, though. We're not talking a garden variety AP.net favorite up against a canonical classic. Both are beloved, influential albums that are widely considered to be classics. I agree that the "Come on" reaction is a bit puzzling here.

i mean, to be fair, one person said it haha. it isn’t the level of CTTM/Rumours but it also isn’t Revolver/Born to Run haha

  16. Echoing Craig. Paranoid may have a larger legacy, but The Blue Album clearly also has one and is influential in its own right. This is not Rumours vs. CTTM lol

edit: posted at the same time as @phaynes12 but you get it

All the "come on" reactions to any of these are puzzling because this is literally just for fun lol And it's not an inherently bad thing that this specific corner of the internet shares a common love for a kind of music that isn't as popular other places

Blue is a fine album and all when your listening to it, but I'm not humming any riffs all week long after like I do with Paranoid. Sabbath for sure.

Even as a pretty big current Weezer fan/follower, I just looked at the Teal album track list and forgot about 80% of the songs they covered on it

True music fans know the versions on Teal are the definitive versions of these compositions.

I’m just waitng, wishin’ and hopin’ for Weezer to set lyrics to Bach.
