I'm by no means a Radiohead fanboy but calling these two albums similar is wild to me.

Also, like... "Morning Bell"! It's on Kid A!

They’re really not at all, I don’t know why people seem to think that

the best version of that song is on amnesiac, which isn’t up for a vote here

  7. Wait, is that post actually implying that Kid A is OKC2? lmao

I took that as a dig at In Rainbows.

  9. I also took it this way initially. Still a bizarre comparison lol. Remind me again which song on OKC sounds like "15 Step"

Nude was literally written for OKC!

I mean, yeah they don't sound the exact same. And the OKC/IR binary thing was always stupid. And I'm just trolling. But from 1997 to now, they have two more traditionally melodic guitar-heavy albums in OKC and IR, I don't think it's a crazy comparison to draw. (Nor do I hear many songs outside of 15 Step that would sound completely out of place on the other, but ymmv.) They both rule, I just find them similar in tone enough and OKC superior enough that I find the amount of people who prefer the latter surprising. Kind of sad we're not gonna get that matchup tbh.

and they rewrote it multiple times and it sounds entirely different lol. come off it.

hail to the thief is closer to in rainbows than in rainbows is to ok computer

  13. Random, and I know this isn't necessarily something we're taking into account (I guess do what you want, I think it's applicable here considering the matchup), but there's just so many albums and artists I love I feel wouldn't be quite the same without Kid A. 22, A Million and a lot of King Krule stuff immediately comes to mind

Can't agree with that, still great and lovable, but the change from 5/4 to 4/4 is unnecessary for me (I probably always fall for 5/4, easy ;d), and the keys are amazing.

If you're struggling with your vote, I would ask yourself this question: which album am I more likely to LISTEN to vs. which do I ADMIRE the most? I am lost likely to listen to OKC though I admire Kid A more so...I am going OKC.
