The album before this, 100% yes. Skip her debut though. Then there's also a lot of great singles between the last and this one, well worth driving in.
Her debut is great, you just have to like that kind of music. But yeah her second one is literally one of the greatest European albums of all time.
Yea as said above the “Fucking Money Man” single is incredible. One of the best songs of the last 5 years imo.
Finally ordered this after listening to the first half this morning. It’s pretty incredible. I think the weakest song is probably the lead single “LA FAMA” tbh. I’m having trouble getting the second half to play though.
It’s incredible. An artist in total control of their powers. The way the song shift. Crammed with so many ideas and they all hit.
SAOKO is so good. She starts the album with a song with some serious free jazz vibes. It's like she wrote the song just for me haha.
After the first few singles after El Mal Querer I was worried that she would go the generic “latin pop” route because that door became open to her. I’m really happy she didn’t in the end. I mean, most of those songs were good, but she’s way too creative for that route.
I really like it when pop acts push boundaries and don't just get by on what they know will do well. Both Rosalia and Billie Eilish are probably the best examples of that in recent years. Charli XCX too, but she's been doing it for quite a while now. I'm sure there are others, but i'm not that clued up on pop in general.
The beat shift/James Blake part in Diablo absolutely rules My girlfriend has decided she hates her which makes me sad. She's usually my gateway to music in Spanish
