For newcomers: Get to Know Rosalía, the Spanish Singer Giving Flamenco’s Age-Old Sound a Bracingly Modern Twist | Pitchfork This album is incredible. That's all I have to say really.
Oh dude it is crazy. One of the best things I have heard in a while and very unique. Her singing is amazing.
You’re right, this is pretty wild. Only a few tracks in so far, but it kind of reminds me of a less abrasive, more youthful companion to the Elza Soares album A Mulher do Fim do Mundo from a few years back. That’s definitely something I recommend if you’ve never heard it.
Rosalía: El Mal Querer Album Review | Pitchfork Best New Music according to Pitchfork. Sometimes they get it right.
