Definitely excited for this, her solo stuff has been pretty fun so far.

Side note: I watched her Coachella livestream set and it was pretty.... weird? The first like, 80% of the set was just a DJ set, then at the very end she performed 4ish songs. That being said, when she performed her stuff, it was pretty awesome

 

Curious to check this out as well. Sidenote, any truth to the rumors that The XX don't get along anymore and have essentially split?

 

Jamie produced all of, or most of, the Oliver solo album so I highly doubt they are on bad terms. Jamie also produced at least two of Romy's solo singles so far, so I doubt they are either... which leaves just Romy-Oliver having bad blood? I hadn't seen anything, so I don't have reason to think so

I actually skipped her Coachella set because I thought it was going to be fully DJ (well that and she was conflicting with Porter Robinson lol), she was doing full DJ sets last year

 

I definitely would have been disappointed if I went to the set and didn't know ahead of time. Would have been ideal to go weekend 2 after knowing that she does a live set at the very end though

 

They're all still friends - they all still support each other, they're just all "going to very different parties" as either Oliver or Romy put it once on the Apple Music show.

Think Jamie also has a 2nd solo album in the works based on some very tasty unreleased IDs in his DJ sets recently.

 

The xx bore the shit out of me, sorry - what Jamie, Oliver and now Romy are doing with these new projects is much more my speed.

 

Fun record. The Sea is my favorite

 

This is excellent.
