I'm still waiting for the "Jar Jar's Big Adventure" anthology film....

 

My quick, non-spoiler thoughts: I didn't care for it. Edwards proves to be a solid action director, but the writing is weak and the characters have little depth. Also, there's some egregious use of CGI that will take you out of the movie.

Hype train DE-RAILED

 

Maybe it's just how much personal life stuff has been going on with me this year, or the fact that we're now getting a new Star Wars every year for the foreseeable future, but I haven't followed this nearly as much as TFA. Last year I spent the weeks leading up to the release insanely hyped, and this year I barely even know what the movie is about and have only seen one trailer I think. I'm honestly surprised, I've been hugely anticipating every Star Wars movie since I was a kid watching the prequels. Maybe this will leave more room for the movie to surprise me once I finally see it, so it could be a good thing.

 

Don't let it be.

 

My Star Wars hype train will never have brakes.

 

Hahahaha. By no means it is a bad movie. It's simply nothing special.

 

I was just being dramatic I'd probably still be hyped if most of the reviews were negative. Due to 'member berries.

 

I've been more excited for this than I was for The Force Awakens since we started getting information on this. I loved TFA, but I'm still hoping to like this even more. My only fear is that my expectations are too high.

 

Going to see this Monday night. so pumped.

 

Got tickets for Saturday morning. I've avoided trailers, so I'm excited to go into this blind.

 

Loved TFA, so very excited for this. Hoping to see it this weekend. Will kill anyone on Facebook who spoils it for me (still have no clue how people do this and feel ok about it)

From what I hear, this one seems to be much more suited to the hardcore fans and not those filthy casuals (kidding). I'm personally looking forward to it a whole bunch. I'm hoping for some subtle Rebels references here and there along with some great inclusions of characters from other parts of the canon. I'm trying to catch all the references I can in a few viewings before I view one of those "50 Easter Eggs You Missed In Rogue One" articles.
