I just saw a screen shot from a tv spot that showed the Ghost!!!!

I think it would be more helpful to view early positive reactions within the franchise. Or through specific critics and their view on this and TFA.

Random tweets from random people don't really say much as it lacks context.

 

a lot these same critics were pretty hyped on TFA too. These reactions are far more hyped than I would have ever thought they would be.

 

Yeah exactly. As a rule of thumb I don't trust random tweets or early reactions in general. I've seen it happen quite often where the early consensus is that it's amazing, only for it to be awful. Also one of the people quoted in that article is Kevin Smith who, while I enjoy listening him talk about movies, I don't trust his opinion at all.

 

I straight up told my friend after I saw TFA that it was one of the greatest films of all time after I saw the very first IMAX showing I was so high on adrenaline. Obviously now I'm a little less enthusiastic. But yeah if I saw Star Wars at the red carpet premiere is probably declare it the greatest film in the history of cinema.

 

Rogue One spoiler: Han Solo dies at the end.

 

Don't forget when Luke only shows up in the last scene but doesn't even have a line! Wtf?

 

wow. at least you can realize something like that haha which is more than most people can say. I mean that in all honesty and no disrespect

 

I enjoy reading tweets from critics I like and who I know are going to give their honest opinion, but I'm going to stay away from reviews once those come out in a few days tho since I don't want to be spoiled too much. Also, I'm really psyched to hear the score. I still play The Force Awakens in my car all the time.

 

So apparently up to 50% of the trailer footage isn't even in the movie:

Hope that tie fighter shot with it rising in front of jyn is in the movie at least

 

(that happens all the time, maybe not usually up to 50%, but is part of why you shouldn't put any stock in trailers when discerning whether or not a movie looks good)

 

that's what happens when your reshoots basically discarded the entire original movie

 

TFA, along with many movies before it, had the same "issue".

 

I'm seeing this tomorrow morning. Will report back with vague thoughts using spoiler font.
