SPOILER: the real black hood had Hal record his conversation with the Coopers because if he didn’t confess to being the black hood, the black hood would murder the Cooper girls.
First season has a pretty good twist at the last 2 episodes that you can’t see coming. Second season has been decent, but it’s almost twice as long as the first, so it has felt very dragged out; and the twists so far haven’t been as good as the big twist in season 1.
I love this show so much. Just caught up and Cheryl with the bow and Little Red Riding Hood get-up is the best. She is my favorite.
"I'm supposed to be a great detective" Betty honey you're like 16 no you're not strapping conquistador of a father Cheryl and Toni are so cute also overall this season Cheryl, Betty, and Veronica had great arcs and it was interesting how they all kind of found the strength to deal with their shitty dads/families
I’m kind of disappointed with the black hood reveal stuff. It should’ve been more dramatic about Tall Boy or played out better, unless it’s just a red herring. Polly had super green eyes and evil music was playing while she was talking to Alice... wonder if she set up her dad or Tall Boy somehow. I also wonder who her friend from the farm was.
I just hope that next season is 13 episodes again; and it has a new murderer and better reveal/twist.
Yeah the season 2 finale wasn’t as good as season 1 but man I’m excited for the Archie/Hiram feud in season 3.
Betty, Ronnie, and Toni too if Archie and Jughead never appeared on the screen I'd be okay with that, Archie's hot parents can stay though
I just hope they improve for season 3... but I'm afraid that they are just going to turn away from the twists and turns/killing and make this show more just about the teen relationships, etc. I bet in season 3 there's no new killer/mystery. The only thing I see them putting any twist and turn in is with who Polly says is her friend from the Farm. They will expand upon that plot and she or her friend will have made her dad or tall boy do the killings possibly...? If that plot isn't a big part of season 3, then I'm guessing it will all be Archie vs Hiram and the teen relationships. I started watching this show solely because I love murder mysteries/twists and turns. It seems like it's kind of going away from that and becoming more teen-friendly/pop-culturish if that makes sense, such as the multiple homosexual relationships that female teenagers love to see so they can "ship" them, also "Bughead", "Varchie", etc.; and all of the awkwardly-placed pop culture phrases/quotes they use. I think after season 1 gained a lot of popularity, they decided to cater more to the teen girl crowd to capitalize on their marketing strategy, who typically talk/tweet the most about shows/music/etc. and who care more about the love/relationships between the characters rather than the mystery side of the show. Kind of the same idea with boy bands appealing to teen girls based on looks more than the music. I hope I'm wrong.
Very end of the episode was a bit underwhelming, but at least it was prefaced by basically the only time I actively liked Archie. Cheryl is still the coolest and that red jacket rules. Creeped out by Polly for sure. She's up to something. Stoked for next season and REALLY hoping we get some Sabrina crossover stuff!
