I was so worried that the final scene/reveal was going to go in a direction that would have me rolling my eyes (to say the least) but thank god it did nottttttttt

We'd just be covering season 1 btw. It's easier to just do that for ongoing shows at the moment. I didn't do that with Arrow and now I have no clue where I'd need to pick up on a follow up episode haha.

I do not understand why is this series so popular? I did not like the acting of the actors, there is so much in the plot. The 13 reasons why is much more interesting

 

I feel like those two shows are doing very different things. 13 Reasons Why is dealing with a very specific message and story about important and deep issues while Riverdale is more of a Twin Peaks-y mystery with great characters. Not saying one is better than the other, but they have a very different focus which appeals to different people.

 

The acting in 13 Reasons Why was so bad I could barely make it through the pilot

 

Kevin’s scenes in the last episode are probably the best thing the show has done yet. Damn that was real

 

the scene with him and his dad was really well done

super emotional stuff and not in a total after school special way

 

calling Betty out on her privilege was also great

 

I’ve seen three Riverdale characters in my microbiology class today. So glad this show is catching on.

 

Finally caught up. Major Zodiac vibes. Love it.

this episode might have been peak Riverdale, I love that the Zodiac killings and Aileen Wuornos exist in the Riverdale universe

Question, when Betty took down the football team last season, the voiceover said they couldn't foresee what consequences that was going to have. Was there ever a payoff for that? How was it important?
