That's a lot of fan entitlement in the way it reads. Alkaline Trio has a lot of material and mix songs up quite a bit, so those criticisms are unavoidable. It's not possible to please everyone from a set list standpoint. In regards to Matt sounding bad, I'm sure Mark did on that tour at some point. They toured pretty long and played 20+ songs a night. You got one of the bad draws. It happens and it's unfortunate. Would you prefer they press play or cancelled instead? If you didn't like it, that's totally fine, but the wording just comes off in a type of way.
Haha, no all of that is just me taking petty jabs at a band I can't get into. I just don't like his voice and think its one note. Also Time To Kill is the only song I've liked by them so I was double pissed they skipped that one lol.
They're teasing something for Monday... https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https://www.facebook.com/riseagainst/videos/10158099909475705/&show_text=0&width=400
It has to be a tour! I don't care which one headlines, I just want 2 things: More dates in the Midwest besides Chicago and for them to not do arenas or outdoor stadium type venues. Both theses bands work so much better in an indoor setting, and the complaints anyone above about RA live saw them in that setting....
Hey everyone, they just announced a lovely tour with Deftones. I'll paste the dates below for ya'll. I'm definitely hitting up the Boston date. Tickets go on sale this Friday. June 09 Chicago, IL - FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island June 10 Sterling Heights, MI - MI Lottery Theater at Freedom Hill June 11 Toronto, ON - Molson Canadian Amphitheatre June 13 Wantagh, NY - Nikon at Jones Beach Theater June 16 Boston, MA - Blue Hills Bank Pavilion June 17 Philadelphia, PA - Festival Pier at Penn's Landing June 18 Raleigh, NC - Red Hat Amphitheater June 20 Charlotte, NC - Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre June 22 Tampa, FL - MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre June 23 Miami, FL - Bayfront Park Amphitheater June 24 Jacksonville, FL - Daily's Amphitheatre June 26 The Woodlands, TX - The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion June 27 Dallas, TX - Gexa Energy Pavilion June 28 Austin, TX - Austin360 Amphitheater June 30 Denver, CO - Pepsi Center July 01 Salt Lake City, UT - USANA Amphitheater July 03 Seattle, WA - White River Amphitheater July 06 Concord, CA - Concord Pavilion July 07 Chula Vista, CA Sleep Train Amphitheatre July 08 Las Vegas, NV - Downtown Las Vegas Events Center July 09 Phoenix, AZ - Ak-Chin Pavilion
Well it seems my request above fell on deaf ears. With Thrice on the bill as well, I may make a drive to Chicago.
Kind of surprised that after barely playing any dates last year and not releasing any new material they've jumped straight back into touring. Those venues look big (afraid I'm not American so have no idea) - bet Tragedy + Time sounds fucking sweet.
Maybe they'll announce a new album prior to the tour. Also - am I the only one who actually likes Endgame? Idk, I enjoy Survivor Guilt, Midnight Hands, Disparity by Design, This is Letting Go, and A Gentlemen's Coup.
I've seem them only once - back in Jan 2012. A Day to Remember opened for them. It was an awesome show; they were excellent live. .... Wow. Can't believe that was now over five years ago.
Midnight Hands is good and I think that fast pace bridge of Survivor Guilt is aweosme and what the album needed way more of. Architects is a good track too. I'll give you those 2 and Satellite off that album.
Endgame will forever be boosted by my hype for it, but I think it's arguably their most consistent album. While it does suffer from is some rather by-the-numbers lyricism and there's a clear tiredness in Tim's voice, it's also got some real bangers on it (always feel This Is Letting Go isn't given the credit it deserves)
That bridge is amazing, it sounds like it had two separate bridges in one song since it has two build ups.
New song or Album on 4/20? Possible trackless according others: 3.37 Wolves 3.13 Houses on fire 3.48 Violence 3.03 Welcome to the breakdown 3.32 Far From Perfect 4.12 Bullshit 4.09 Politics of abuse 3.40 Parts of a million 3.19 Morning Amerika 3.50 How many walls 3.40 Miracle
If I had to guess I'd say single release/album announcement on 4/20, and the album not too far behind.
I'd agree that a single is way more likely, but something feels weird about hyping a track list for an album, then just releasing one song. Either way, hope it's good!
Either way, I'll be more than happy to hear something new from them, but I see it being a single. Fingers crossed for more angry, fast, heavy songs and less alternative-sounding songs haha.
Either a new album or a song will be released this week. In my opinion, it will be a single + album details. Rise Against - Wolves (3:37) Wolves (3:13) House On Fire (3:48) The Violence (3:03) Welcome to the Breakdown (3:32) Far from Perfect (4:12) Bullshit (4:09) Politics Love (3:40) Parts Per Million (3:19) Morning Amerika (3:50) How Many Walls (3:40) Miracle
It seems that album will be released on 9th of June based to Amazon.de: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B06ZZ2KFR1...492518655&sr=8-1&keywords=rise+against+wolves
