Rise against and bad religion have toured a couple of times. 2011 endgame tour it was rise bad religion and four year strong years ago bad religion took rise on one of their first major tours ever
I saw them with BR on that first tour but I didn’t realize the other one happened! I’m upset I missed that one!
Here's an interesting thought I just had: this album was recorded in 2020, right? I wonder what energy it's going to bring, and if the exit of Donald Trump from the White House will have an impact on its cultural reception. Wolves was very much a Trump era record. Endgame is a 2011 record that hasn't really aged well imo. I hope that their upcoming album doesn't sound immediately outdated. (One of the benefits of their less blunt lyrical approach, compared to other bands in the scene, is that their albums age a lot better)
I won’t be surprised if these guys write more about the issues going on in our society/culture rather than more stuff directly towards a 2x impeached president and the administrations failures. I can see a song or two about it directly, but they still have a lot more to write about since last album. Stuff that would still be relevant and continue to be relevant like Racism, Mental Health, Violence, police brutality, media, covid...the list goes on for them. Plus, I typically see these guys take a Bad Religion approach with their lyrics as most of their content is still relevant today. I think they’ll be okay and we are going to enjoy the new stuff!
