More likely we get Appeal. Which I actually think could be good as they never play Entertainment and Kotov Syndrome. Whereas every song from Sufferer has been in rotation at some point I think (except Roadside of course) I will say that if any band could pull off the New Found Glory 2 albums a night tour it would be RA.
House on Fire and The Violence are my least favorites on it, so I agree that it's an interesting choice by the band/label to push those ones
man i hate far from perfect, feel like that song could be and has been written by 1,000 other bands. not shitting on anyone who likes it or anything but i'm surprised to be in the minority
I would have backed the title track, especially since that really sold me on the album pre release - maybe that will get a push down the line? - but I think someone is terrified that Tim screaming will put people off. I really like it but the screaming part is dumb.
I love Suffer more, but as stated above by someone they always rotate those songs. I think Siren tour would be so fantastic. I think they only ever play Dancing for Rain, Give it All and Swing Life Away anymore. Not that those 3 songs aren't awesome, but I'd jump at the chance to see them all.
I got Siren Song on vinyl for Xmas. Will always be my favorite RA album. I remember seeing them play the metro before that album dropped and the setlist was amazing. Tickets were $15. They even filmed parts of the video for Give It All that night and invited the crowd to be part of it. I couldn’t do it though because I wasn’t 18. Boo.
I would give up a finger or two to hear them play My Life Inside Your Heart live. That song is great and the best indicator of their potential on Unraveling.
i feel like Tim could still pull off doing those records in full. he's still got the S C R E A M Z my favorite description of Tims voice is Geoff Ricklys "he's like a punk rock Springsteen or something"
I think he could too. His voice sounds strained a lot when he sings a ton, but when they busted out State of the Union for a show last year or songs like Ready to Fall that have some screaming in them, he normally nails the screams. I'm sure that effects him sounding strained on singing though haha.
Everchanging, 1000 Good Intentions, and Blood-Red, White, and Blue? *dies* All that's missing is Gethsemane.
yep, RPM and Unraveling in full plus all b-sides from that era. except for My Life because they fucked up
ya know ive never gotten into Unraveling like i have their other records which is blasphemy probably. if it cushions the blow RPM might be their best album even if it isnt my favorite but idk it hard to say
acoustic compilation on the way, Tim’s voice stepped in a time machine for this Like the Angel clip. very excited and hope it skews older.
I am so pumped for this. Been waiting for them do something like this for a long time now. Still waiting on a solo album from Tim too lol.
I can't believe they've been a band for nearly 20 years and they've only just thought to do something like this. I swear they've done most of their songs acoustic at some point, so there is lots of material (somewhere on YouTube there used to be an acoustic version of Give It All I think!) Presumably this will be on sale at the new tour dates?
I bought their AOL Undercover EP on itunes around the time of Suffer and it has great acoustic versions of Ready to Fall, Prayer of the Refugee and Swing Life Away on it. I hope they leave those three songs out since we already have them and do deeper cuts. There's a live video of Tim doing We Don't Want to Be Here Anymore acoustic and it's great, I hope we get more out of the box stuff like that.
I actually just listened to it yesterday haha, I still really like it and think its a huge step up overall than Endgame and Black Market. I'd place it 4th overall under Sufferer, Siren Song, Appeal and Revolutions.
I'm not actively listening to it at the moment but I got hard into Wolves at the tail end of last year. What I'm saying is it's a damn good album. I don't tend to go in for album rankings but I would mention it in the same breath as Revolutions and Sufferer. It's not as musically broad as those albums, but for what it is (a half-hour blast of rage with a couple of brief pauses for breath in the middle) it's superb.
