Any true/hardcore rise against fan has the album in a their rotation. I own every single album on iTunes and have everyone on cd except the unraveling cuz I can't find it anywhere and I think it's a awesome album everchanging is a classic
For me I'd go: The Great Die-Off Black Masks and Gasoline Wolves State of the Union Chamber the Cartridge Re Education Satellite I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore Politics of Love Survivor Guilt Worth Dying For Whereabouts Unknown Blood Red, White and Blue Dancing for Rain Edit: It was a bummer for me to have to leave Life Less Frightening and Prayer of the Refugee off
Guess I'm not not a true/hardcore Rise Against fan? It's my friends favorite band and he never listens to it, but ok.
2 songs off every album is a hard thing to do but in no order of a actual set list Alive and well Ever changing Survive Bullshit This is letting go Collapse Kotov syndrome The great die off The eco terrorist in me Broken mirrors Death blossoms Dirt and roses Heaven knows Like the angle Paper wings Blood to bleed Behind closed doors Welcome to the breakdown
Rise against is my fave band I've seen them 10 times live and own every album and listen to every single one of them so... I guess to each their own
More difficult than I thought it would be. I want to put all of the best album's songs at the beginning or end of the set and the middle is tough to decide... 1. Re-education 2. Injection 3. Like the Angel 4. Satellite 5. Midnight Hands/Broken Mirrors 6. Tragedy + Time 7. Black Masks & Gasoline 8. Welcome to the Breakdown 9. Bullshit 10. Awake Too Long 11. Swing Life Away 12. Paper Wings 13. Survive 14. Savior (extended live version)
I've seen both paper wings and like the angel performed live I might even have video but it would take me a hot minute to find it
The Unraveling is not good its like a really bad version of RPM ranking: Sirens>Sufferer>Endgame>Wolves=Appeal>TBM=RPM 2 songs from every album: Amber Changing Like The Angel Life Less Frightening Rumors Of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated The Good Left Undone Survive Re-Education Hairline Fracture Architects Make It Stop (Septembers Children) Tragedy+Time The Eco-Terrorist In Me Wolves Mourning In Amerika bonus tracks Megaphone Tonight, We Dance
Green Baron, a really good writer over at Sputnik, ranked every Rise Against song so heres that if you wanna read along Green Baron: All Rise Against Songs Ranked (1-100) | Sputnikmusic
Totally agree with Rumors, Drones, Injection, and Paper Wings in the Top 6. Personally I'd go... 1. Injection 2. Rumors 3. Paper Wings 4. Drones 5. Survive Next group would include Like the Angel, Behind Closed Doors, But Tonight We Dance, Ready to Fall, Re-Education, Life Less Frightening, and The Good Left Undone. Tough to place a solid order on that second group though.
yep im happy with his top 10 or so. really im happy with all of it idk if theres any glaring "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT DOING SO LOW/HIGH" placement. i dont mean this as a knock towards RA because I adore them but they probably have a solid 40-50 songs that I feel pretty much the exact same towards, i enjoy them when theyre on but they arent favs by any means.
Only one that I have a major gripe with is Anywhere But Here being #97. I'd have it closer to the top 20-25.
Unraveling is a good album, it's just unrefined and features the band doing way too many generic "punk rock" songs designed to imitate their influences rather than transcend them like they began doing with Revolutions. From the looks of things that Sputnik list is designed to infuriate me. Tragedy + Time is a top ten song, Far From Perfect is one of my favourites off Wolves, and ranking Methadone over My Life Inside Your Heart is unforgivable. In fact I'd swap out that entire top 5.
Yeah, already with The Great Die-Off and Roadside being so low I can tell this list is not going to be good. Esp with the B-side album included. The bottom of the list should be all the B-Side songs minus Grammatizator.
But at the same time Whereabouts Unknown, Dancing for Rain, Drones and Life Less Freighting all made the top 20 so he isn't completely out of his mind.....
Six ways till Sunday Everchanging Black masks Blood red white and blue Anywhere but here To them these streets belong Survive Chamber the cartridge Kotov syndrome Collapse Survivors guilt Satellites Eco-terrorist Awake too long Miracle Welcome to the breakdown
ive only met Tim but yeah he was super nice and really supportive of me since id like, just come out as queer to a lot of my friends and family and that was a cool moment. also two of the best lyricists and two of the most progressive/forward thinking frontmen from our scene
