was literally just going to post about it lol. it's better than the violence, but still an average song.
Welcome To The Breakdown is up on Spotify. Really solid, takes me back to the RPM and Siren Song days due to the vibe and production choices.
Agreed I really dig WTTB. I'm really looking forward to this release I have a feeling it's going to be their best release in a while (I did really enjoy The Black Market though)
New album is so good the Best Buy bonus tracks should not have been exclusive to Best Buy but they are prolly 2 of the best tracks on the entire album. Bullshit is so good. I hope they play it live tomorrow
Megaphone should have been the opening track for this album. It does not deserve to be a bonus song. Whoever made that decision should be fired. Unless it was Tim...Tim is cool. Far from Perfect is slaying me right now. I feel like it could fit right on Siren Song.
I'd swap "How Many Walls" for "Megaphone" for sure. edit: aaaaand I'd trade something else out for Broadcast...perhaps Far From Perfect
Not done listening yet, but I can already affirm The Violence and House Of Wolves are the worst songs and weren't really good choices for singles. There's so much better stuff so far ! It's good to hear them reenergized, tho of course it's not on RPM / Siren Song / TS&W levels. Far From Perfect is so so so so good indeed.
Didn't think I'd be excited for this one after feeling really let down by the black market but liking what I'm hearing so far!
Miracle is their best closer in a long time. That fucking bridge ! Another early favorite, they really need to make more songs in Drop D. That way they could avoid using the same chord progressions that made the three previous records less inspired.
Glad everyone's enjoying the album. I'm stuck here in the UK where it's not unlocked yet, but this is all encouraging stuff - and I was a pessimist, actually, until quite recently.
Remember when Appeal to Reason leaked and From Heads Unworthy was tagged as From Head's University? I just got reminded of that and have nothing more to add, haha. Except well, good song and great chorus!
Haha my leaked version was From Head's University too. I can't believe Appeal to Reason is approaching 10 next year!
Where does this rank for everyone now that it's been out long enough to sink in. For me it's behind I mean the first 4 but still better than the last two. Sufferer > Siren Song > Appeal > Revolutions > Wolves > Black Market > Endgame Also for fun, if you could create your own set list for them using only 2 songs from each album, what would your set be?
I think that's because the band doesn't really ever acknowledge outside of playing "Alive and Well" now and then. It's a hard one to rank when I don't think it is or ever was in a lot of fans normal rotation. It's good, not great.
