Hopefully they revisit the song for the album release as I’m usually very easily pleased with Rise Against but the production and Tim’s vocals aren’t good.
It def got pushed back. Originally it was supposed to be out by now. I think the rollout was supposed to start when they started playing want it all live but something happened and they stopped playing the song live and pushed the album. Want it all has yet of be played in the states. They didn’t play it a single time on their October/november headliner
Just took a listen and while I do think the complaints about the production are overblown, I get where they're coming from. The vocal production, or effect if it's just an effect, reminds me of The Gaslight Anthem (especially The '59 Sound) more than anything else and it does stick out here. I hope it won't appear on every single song, though I have a feeling it will and we'll have no choice than to get used to it. Other than that, the production sounds fine. It's far from the 96kbps feeling of Wolves to my ears. Song is okay, much better than the more hard rock oriented first singles they usually put out, but it's not enough to get me excited for the album yet. I feel like they've written that chorus and those melodies a couple times before so it sounds a bit stale.
Yeah I can't get on board with the vocal production at all. Didn't finish the song. Also curious if the whole album sounds like that.
This song sounds like those times in the early 00's when a band would debut it's new single via RealPlayer and someone would rip an mp3 of it.
Listened to Nowhere Generation and then Nod back to back….production is night and day. Holy cow. Reminds me of when I heard the most recent Strung Out album for the first time lol. Atleast Nod is going to sound rad live.
I don’t think it’s a bad song. Pretty good actually. It’s just hampered by a bad mix and weird production
Tonight is their first show of the pre-album tour so it's highly likely we will get Nod's live debut at the very least
Rise Against Setlist at 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin You are correct Apparently it sounds very good live And the band once again have dipped into the back catalogue
Rise Against Setlist at The Telegraph Building, Belfast I would tolerate Whereabouts Unknown and Black Market for Paper Wings AND Six Ways 'Til Sunday in the same set.
Rise Against Setlist at O2 Academy Brixton, London, England New song, Nod, sounded awesome live!! And Tim said he named his new dog Brixton (Brixie for short) because the venue is his favorite
