Everyone has their off night. I don't expect acts to perform at their best in that particular live environment as well.
i was actually surprised at how good tim sounded last night when i watched the livestream. interesting.
Oh, I was laughing at the "I wasn't there but..." part. Hahah. Rise Against have been nothing but incredible live every time I've seen them.
If Cmoney says it was bad.... I saw them a few years ago with the Used and they sounded good but something weird was going on with Tim's in-ears and he was like a half-second behind the beat on every song and it was SUPER distracting.
He sounds pretty good on the livestream. Even if he were to sound “bad” or “rough”…he still sticks out as one of the strongest and recognizable vocalists of the genre.
Tim is an amazing vocalist even if I will always prefer the raw aggression of his voice circa RPM/Siren Song. It was clear that for Sufferer he took some lessons, the singing was "better" and undoubtedly allowed him a LOT more longevity. But for me nothing will top a performance like Give It All
It distinctly sounds like Tim did permanent damage to his voice somewhere between Appeal to Reason and Endgame
I definitely think Tim has issues with his vocals stamina wise when it comes to performing live. Seems like nowadays they play 15-16 songs at most and stretch the set out as long as possible. I imagine old songs are incredibly rough on him which is why they can only play a few per night.
Q101 in Chicago has a rise against related announcement at 2 pm Chicago time. Looks to be a local in store signing or something at loud pizza records
Limited to 100 people. Q and a, signing the new record, special performance. I’ll be 1 of those 100 people
Usually I can find things to enjoy about a band's lesser works but I don't think I'm going to be able to stomach this one. The vocals are super grating. Tim sounds weak as hell, which is crazy because I've listened to some recent live videos and he doesn't sound as bad as he does on the studio versions of the new songs. I'll give it a listen when it comes out but my hopes are about as low as they could possibly be for an album, which is sad because I loved the last one.
Also, the RA subreddit is awful lol. There are a ton of RA fans defending Israel. Pathetic, terrible fan base.
Tim was at the Linkin park Chicago show and joined them onstage for one step closer and his singing/ screams sounded pretty solid
The effects on the vocals are actually distracting on that one. It's a shame because it's an interesting sound for them.
