Rise Against - Album #10 (TBA, 2025) Album

They are planning on releasing album 10 this year. First single is coming Friday called nod. Will update when fully announced.

alright, cautious optimism time

 

I don’t even need this from the “at least we will get some good punk rock outta the next four years!” bullshit. I just miss these guys.

Specifically their live show. They’re always so good, and lately Minneapolis has been an absolute fucking DESERT for good scene shows. I know we are out of the way, but it kills me to see some good tours announced that bounce around the Midwest but never come north.

 

Hoping for some "angry" Rise Against. Both sonically and lyrically.

 

Oh yeah, I'm very hit or miss with the discography past Appeal To Reason (and tbh I still don't love that one) but they are ALWAYS great live. That said, I really liked Nowhere Generation so I'm genuinely excited to hear what they've got.

Let's go! Last album was their best since Sufferer for me and I love Appeal To Reason and Endgame.

Give me more of those tasty Joe Principe bass lines and Tim lyrics.

Endgame, though not without bangers, was where I first started to really notice some cracks. But I agree, NG was a welcome return to form, similar to Green Day bouncing back from the trio with RR.

Hoping hard this album can be their “Saviors.”

Need these guys to drop their Process Of Belief/Empire Strikes First type record. The last three have some good songs but just sound kinda...tired.

I'll always appreciate new RA, but agree with the sentiment hoping they try something fresh with this album

 

They worked with Catherine Marks (boygenius) as producer, so expect some new stuff.

 

This is an excellent career comparison and now my deepest hope.

 

I thought that was amber.

 

Endgame is solid, but you can tell the band were tired from touring. Better than Appeal overall but lacking a standout banger. Have to respect them for following up their biggest hit with an unashamedly direct and political album though.

Black Market was probably their weakest record since Unraveling, mostly because it felt disjointed and unfocussed. I maintain there's a good self-titled EP in there, but there's also a bunch of filler.

I stand by Wolves being a good record slathered in bad production. The Violence is probably the weakest song on there, so it's a shame that that's the one that's gained traction. Tim's screams on How Many Walls are all-timers.

Nowhere Generation is in my S-tier of Rise records with Sufferer and Revolution.

 

They just shared a song clip on their Instagram community channel. Alternative radio sounding like NG.

 

The clip doesn't do anything for me but it's 20 seconds so I'll withhold judgement for now

Black Market is the record where the whole band just seemed tired. Evidenced by the lead single being called "I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore" just seemed like they were exhausted with the whole album/tour cycle.

 

I still think Wolves (and its bonus tracks) is much better than people give it credit. And of course it’s their one album they tried a different producer, and people didn’t like it lol.

 

Wolves is the best late period RA record , I need them angry.
