One of a kind and incredibly influential. He'll be greatly missed.

 

Sad day here in Minnesota. People have given up on working the rest of the day it seems :(

 

The moment they said someone had died at this studio, I just knew it was him. I had that horrible gut feeling. I can't believe he is gone. He gave us the greatest Album and Movie ever made, Purple Rain.

 

Butch Walker on Instagram made me tear up.

 

I can't focus on anything right now, I'm just scrolling through Twitter, listening to Prince and tearing up.

 

Nothing concrete...just some blind items and posts in comments announcing his death

Dude was a true artist and an incredible musician. This one hurts.

 

I wish I had my copy of Purple Rain on me.

Brought my laptop to work today with all his albums from 1978 to 2009. I still need to get a few newer ones. Starting the morning off with For You.

 

I really just want to watch Purple Rain for the next 3 days.

 

My dad has all his albums and my mom wants to murder him because he's been playing Prince since he found out the news. His coworkers love it but not so much my mom haha

 

I love it

VH1 will have it as a marathon until Sunday.

 

I'm listening to Dirty Mind right now. I had to take a break and actually do some work at my job which interrupted more important things such as listening to his entire discography and posting here.

 

rip prince, he truly was the godfather of soul

 

I can't say I was a huge Prince fan but the man seriously wrote some jamz. Let's Go Crazy is seriously a seminal hit.
