Super curious to see how free range you get to be if you buy this, like do you really get to just hang in the artist lounge… or like is there a roped off section you have to stay in an just watch the artists mill about like zoo animals, haha who wants to pool money, send one person but they must stealthly livestream the whole time
Are you sure? I bought them the literal minute they went on sale, and they were $249, with the total being more expensive than they are today for some reason.
After the initial rush Sunday night and everything stabilizing yeah I could have sworn they were $189 on tixr a few days later. And vip was like 292
the backstage pass is $8500 with earlier bird pricing but will increase when other ticket prices increase
Salt Shed confirmed they are playing there via a post in their Instagram story, so I’d say that means they are out for Riot 2026.
I know we had this convo before, but just saw Limp Bizkit and it was so much fun, top energy all the show. With them headlining lots of festivals in Europe next year, they can be a fun choice for Riot too.
I think a lot of us would enjoy Limp Biskit here but I’m beginning to believe it’s not in the cards with the RF gods…
An idea: Bright Eyes does two nights, one album each night, and Conor curates their stage with old Saddle Creek bands and friends.
This would make a certain type of person flip. I'm not sure who all is active at this point... Algernon, Big Thief, Cursive, the Faint, and Hop Along all stand out. Would also be pretty cool if he convinced Conor to bring back the Good Life for that sort of thing. Also: I am very much "pro" anything that might convince Criteria to play shows.
Cursive and the Faint are definitely the obvious ones. Neva Dinova would basically be guaranteed too. The So So Glos / Alex Orange Drink since he contributed so much to the last Bright Eyes album. Criteria's a great call - they've been sporadically active, right? Good Life would be so awesome. There's also all his folk connections. Gillian Welch would be super cool. Snocaps or any other Crutchfield sisters project.
I always forget about the So-So Glo's and I was really into them back when they were more active. Haha. I actually saw them at that one Riot Fest aftershow with the Get Up Kids and Modern Baseball. In hindsight, that show had a fucking crazy line-up! Criteria have been relatively quiet, but playing sporadic shows. I'm pretty sure they were gearing up for 2020 to be a much busier year but, yeah, y'know... Anyway. It looks like there's lots of options. Some of it I would love, some of it I would hate, but a lot of it would make a really great addition to the festival and make a certain type of person super happy. Haha. The idea of artist-curated stages is always really neat. And this would make year #3 with Riot leaning into this between the NOFX stage in 2024 and the "Weird Al" stage this year.
I saw The Good Life like a decade ago when they came to my small college town in Iowa and they were really good. I think it was one of the last shows they have played. Would be down for a return from them!
Well no Chicago date for the Bright Eyes shows. So it’s still a possibility. It being their 21st birthday celebration also works well with sharing that occasion with Riot Fest.
I would imagine a shorter run is probably easier on Connor from a health perspective, so it's good to see him doing that. But also guessing there's going to be an equally short fall run announced with some other dates. This is feeling real likely for Riot Fest... Especially given that he canceled last time around.
If kittie isn’t going to ever play riot, they at least need a proper tour, seems like they exclusively play metal fests and nothing else
