Grain of salt here but Nat from the Irons Roses commented on the IG post saying "bring it on" with fire emojis and preach hands... Feels like they might be in the mix and stoked on the bill. Haha. Also: Eugene Hutz and Sincere Engineer are in there... So I think those might be hints. Are there other band peeps I might have missed in there?
My friend who plays bass in Showoff is in there! Not sure if that's a hint or just that he's friends with Riot folks, but fun to see him either way.
If The Beths are playing wonder if there’s going to be more of an indie day like they’ve done in some years. Could see them on the same day as The Format (assuming The Format are in).
Oh, that's neat! Was that the Mike guy? Showoff feels "too small" to be a hint and I feel like it would have been Chris if they were going for that but... Would be dope to see both them and/or Allister on the bill! I had initially assumed they'd be out because of that show they just did together. But since that's passed I think that puts them in play. My fiancee would book a flight to Chicago just to see Showoff.

They play around here so much and I feel bad that I haven't seen them since he joined. Also, saw an "I spy Cartel" comment on the IG post. Definitely hoping for them.
Ah! See, I kinda figured there might be more in there I was just missing... Bummer you missed that show! Showoff was one of those bands that I got into at just the right moment but never got to see them live before they broke up. Fun fact though: My freshman year of college, my college radio station booked Allister to play our spring concert. I interviewed Tim before the show and he mentioned that their second guitarist at the time (Kyle?) was also in Showoff. I was such a big fan of them and had heard rumblings about that second album... So I spoke with Kyle after the show about that and he was like, "Yeah it's done the label is just sitting on it. But what's your email address?" So I've had that shit sitting on my hard drive for 20+ years. LOL
To be fair, they also said Gogol Bordello and Social D wouldn't be there to somebody last night. So... Who knows?

I still call that Saturday in 2024 “Riotfork”. I was not a fan but indie is very hit or miss for me. I assume if Pixies and Sugar are playing that The Beths will be on the same stage.
