i was a fan of early 21P -used to bump Vessel and *blurryface all the time in the mid 2010's, and kind of enjoyed the heathens single off a soundtrack, but for whatever reason i have not heard a single song off any album since. i dunno if subconsciously i started distancing myself becasue they were almost slipping into imagine dragons territory, but they never did anything to make me stop actively liking them, it sorta just happened... all that to say is they do put on a legit banger of a live show, but id still be a coin flip on if i'd watch them or not, would have a lot of catching up to do on the discography

 

I’m just wishing here but is there any reason no one’s speculating that we could get The Cure again this year?

 

I can’t remember where I read it, but I read somewhere that they’re only doing UK/EU fests this year but may come to the states next year

 

Looks like Mike D has some music coming out - and is doing a few shows in LA and Brooklyn this week. Could see him at Riot! They booked him in 2017 so there's an existing relationship there.

 

That’s a bummer about Menzingers and HWM.

And are we thinking next week for the announcement? I had hoped that it would start being earlier every year without the yearly location drama.

 

That was my hope too! But I think it's fair to call last year a fluke. I'm thinking next week for an announcement... But I'm convinced we'll get a day locked in for that by Friday.

I do actually think there's an outside chance we get the "where's the line-up?" video tonight with them saying it's coming tomorrow but odds of that are super low. I would just imagine it won't take them too long to slop together a video like that and the socials have been super quiet today.

But yeah, I'm assuming next week. Wednesday if I had to guess a day based on vibes.

Underoath just announced a tour and I know it doesn’t move the needle much toward confirming them it does tell me they might be a little more in play since they’ll be active and touring this year.

Getting them to do Define the Great Line and AOF to do Crisis would be huge album plays for me personally.

 

Some probable/hopeful crossover here: Underoath, Boys Like Girls, Cartel, MCS, Saosin, Haywire, Finch

 

Yeah lots of potentials here. Could see MJ playing it too

They're out unfortunately. Playing Bottom Lounge on August 18th

 

In 2030 I’m gonna need riot fest to give us an October Forever 10 year anniversary album play.

 

L7 is sadly out. Playing the Vic on 10/1 as part of their farewell tour.

 

Plague Vendor added as support to Public Image Ltd's tour. Both I'd say are all but confirmed for Riot Fest.

 

To quote that one Reddit comment that made me LOL: "Are they about to parent trap the Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd?"

 

Latest email hints at price increases again (likely when the line-up drops). They keep ranting up the dialogue around it and this definitely feels like it's coming next week.

 

Man, that Hayley Williams tour really is routed perfectly for Riot. She'd basically be a lock if there wasn't a Tinley date.

 

It's unbelievably annoying lol so rude of her to make me trek my ass out to tinley park when she could've just played Riot

that tour routing is so deeply riot coded, almost makes me think she just wants to attend, haha, she knows something cant miss is gonna be there

 

I think there's a high likelihood she does a guest spot with someone on Sunday.
