You know, if anybody has access to social media analytic tools... It would be interesting to compare the social media activity on their account in the two weeks leading up to announcement day over the last ~5 years. Because this is usually the telltale sign that they're gearing up for the announcement in a week, week and a half.

But that's just anecdotal. Would love to see the data to back it up. May see if I can find a free way to do that tonight if I can finally get caught up on work shit.

I’m still saying that it comes this week. They are being pretty sassy and I really thought I remembered not knowing it was coming until a day or 2 beforehand most years. My memory could just be cope though.

Nah, that's pretty accurate with the exception of last year. There's usually a flurry of interactions on the socials then some silence (anywhere from 4 hours to nearly a full day) before they announce the announcement day/time. And it's usually the night before that they tell us when it's coming.

I'm also partially basing this on Red Scare saying they're announcing something in tandem with Riot Fest tomorrow. And I'm 99.9% positive it's the announcement for a new Sludgeworth album (with Riot streaming the first single). And as there's usually a bunch of silence it makes me feel it's unlikely they would post that and then the line-up announcement later in the day (because that would drown out the other pretty quickly)... Which would limit the reveal to Thursday/Friday (not impossible; just a bit abnormal).

I am thinking way too much about this.

Dang, was really hoping story of the year would be there. Haven't seen them in too long.

The Hollywood Bowl is teasing a Hayley Williams show. If she’s doing ampitheaters/arenas this fall, I’d imagine she could be a headliner contender. Especially if she’s doing a career spanning set

My initial thought was that an ampitheater/arena tour after the run she just had wouldn't make sense just because of what a big leap that would feel like but... If she did that (a career-spanning set) that would probably do crazy numbers beyond belief between the Paramore base and her solo hype.

Now I'm crossing my fingers it's not just a singular show and we start seeing other teases in the AM!

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

Looks like Loathe and Fleshwater are locks based on their routing

Loathe is playing Lolla so I don't think they'll be at Riot. Fleshwater on the other hand...

My only hesitation there is they said those dates would be headliners. I know that’s being nitpicky but… Feels odd to me.

Would be a sweet add, though! Especially doing the same setlist as their live record.

Anxious, Hotline TNT, and Rocket are all out because of that Citizen tour.

Sorry! Citizen announced a new tour today with all of those bands opening. It hits Chicago for two dates in August (8/18 and 8/19) but also has two west coast dates on Riot weekend on top of that.

Prostitute would be an incredible get for Riot Fest but I can barely read that poster.

    Well, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy

If Deftones headlines, Fleshwater playing their stage makes all the sense in the world

Bowling For Soup and/or this entire touring package seem possible?

I was surprised to see people excited about them playing Sound & Fury.
