I don't know that the Smiths thing will ever happen. And I just really hope they never book Morrissey again... All this despite Riot's great track record of "building relationships" with artists to get that reunion. With the exception of Jawbreaker that's how they've landed most of the bigger ones, I think. And it's one of the reasons I'll be paying close attention to whether or not they convince Doom Regulator to come out this year. That would be the greenest of flags for Operation Ivy in 2027. LOL That's a great point, actually. I'm just really glad they're doing it still and getting the opps they've been getting... Great band, great people, and really hoping they blow up on the next album. Ah! Completely forgot about that... Yeah, that probably rules them out. That routing is suspect though. LOL

AFI just announced an outdoor show on 9/19 at the Observatory Festival Grounds in Santa Ana. Given that his lands right in the middle of Riot weekend, safe to say they are probably out.
Hot Rod Circuit just played Chicago with Drug Church and White Reaper! But still... Would love to see them on Riot. Usually it's far less exciting than last year. Typically there's just an oddly quiet day, then toward EOB there's a tweet saying the line-up is coming the next day at (insert time here). And if there's teaser videos or whatever coming too they usually mention that as well. But it all typically happens within a 12-24 hour period. That said, I do believe we got our first official "Riot Fest Twitter Person Actively Harassing Haters" tweet today: Usually that's a sign that something's coming. So yeah, next week is definitely a possibility. I was initially hopeful for this week but given what we're seeing right now I'm feeling like we'll be waiting a bit longer.
Hah! Saw this today too... They've got that show at the Vic on 5/31 with the Toadies. They strike me as the kind of band Riot would let the radius clause slip for. But I also wouldn't read too much into this other than Riot being Riot. Haha.
Turnover feels likely. Pretty full US summer tour that conspicuously skips Chicago. They'll be active doing that Red Rocks show on 9/29 and Neverender on 10/3.
if that The Sword / Red Fang tour does an eastern US run, i hope riot can snag it. that pair could be a good core to be in the middle of a pretty rad stage line up. maybe some Castle Rat or Uncle Acid & the deadbeats before, maybe some Death From Above, clutch, or primus to follow... im just daydreamin at this point

I went last night. I was a pretty generic see you soon. I think at one point she also said she hopes to come back and perform here soon at the same time. Having heard her I wouldn’t take it as much.
Their recent holiday show run they did 4 shows in a row, so it is possible. I will note that I went to the first night and Adam's singing sounded decent, but the videos for nights 3/4 were ROUGH. So keep expectations low for their Riot set haha
