There’s very Little Rock on the lolla lineup. Another year they went pop heavy.

Oh right, I did forget about that. The person said they have a hold though and that those can change so I guess we will see!

Im not sure about that, at first glance I saw Turnstile, Yungblud, Viagra Boys, Geese, The Story So Far, Hot Mully, Loathe, Mother Mother, High Vis, Die Spitz, Wet Leg, Ecca Vandal, Bad Nerves. I feel this is more rock than what they had in previous years

Also you can call them "rock" or rock-adjacent or whatever you want but I think the band listed as "Worship" on the Lolla poster is actually Sleep Token

Yeah I was going to say the complete opposite. Feels like more rock on here than they usually have in recent years.

In addition to everyone Tifoil listed above, there's also Smashing Pumpkins, The XX, Momma, Wet Leg, The Neighbourhood and Wolf Alice.

Yeah this feels much more rock heavy than normal, I'm actually interested in quite a few acts compared to the last couple years

I wonder why they are listed as Worship and not Sleep Token. But Im surprised they are not higher on the bill, or even on the top 8

Turns out it's a UK based bass artist. No Sleep Token at Lolla. This year.

  12. Rise Against looking pretty likely. Riot weekend gap between LTL and their tour with Alkaline Trio.

I had Smashing Pumpkins as a dark potential Riot headliner this year. If Pumpkins, Turnstile, Viagra Boys, Geese, High Vis and Die Spitz are on the same day, I’ll get a Lolla day ticket. And I’m 33 lol.

My new thoughts on Riot headliners:

If the Riot headliners are Strokes/TOP/MCR, then big yikes. You can slap any festival name on the Riot poster.

I do see Strokes/Deftones & Sleep Token/MCR as a possibility and will likely lead to a better undercard.

Holy smokes, is riot getting both sex pistols with frank AND Public Image Ltd??? I would imagine they have to be on different days, lol

This brought a tear of joy to my eye. I hope it’s true.

Is Tool still in the mix? Looking at it...

The Strokes / Deftones or Tool / My Chemical Romance would work pretty nicely with the right support and undercard.

We need someone to start cultivating the locks/likely lists.

with both rise against and alk 3 now being possible + Gogol already saying they are coming back… hoping for some cool fresh surprises in the upper card because all 3 of those (while great) are all pretty repetitive to the lineup and taking a lotta spots in the first 1-2 lines under the headliners

Isnt John Lydon a vocal MAGA supporter?

No Twenty One Pilots on the Lolla lineup…playing Shaky Knees…not saying it’s likely or anything, but I guess that puts them at possible. Although I just don’t see them as a fit for Riot Fest.

They usually have something up their sleeve... But we've also got Social Distortion and the Descendents in the mix. Could also see Pennywise making a return. As well as Flogging Molly.

Sugar would also be in that direct support uppercard section. Albeit toward the bottom of that I think... Struggling to think of "surprises" that might come into play but I guess that's kinda the point of a surprise? LOL

Coaxing Reel Big Fish out of hiatus would be a fun get, though!

I truly believe he's just a contrarian loser which has translated into him being a vocal Trump guy. But the end result is the same. He just stinks as a human being regardless.

With the Lawrence Arms doing SFTS with the Bouncing Souls I could see Riot doing a Chicago stage. Rise Against and Alkaline Trio fill-out the closer but you could also throw in the Larry Arms, Naked Raygun, the Methadones, and/or Sincere Engineer along with a few younger artists.

It's really gonna be the Strokes isn't it? I guess I'll try to get into them one more time, but I'm really hoping there'll be some strong counterprogramming or aftershow that night. And please god not Tool.

Deftones would be cool. I feel like Pierce the Veil is not completely out of play for Sunday night. twenty one pilots I guess could do it, I just don't really see it as a fit. I don't think MCR is going to do it, but who knows. There's always System who I feel like area a complete wild card since they play so sporadically. I'll continue holding on to hope for the .001% chance No Doubt plays again. I'm out of any other ideas though, barring reunions. Maybe this is really finally the year for OpIvy.
