The bottleneck around Weird Al was very similar to Weezer at Humboldt. I couldn’t believe the cluster.

    I’m guessing they got MCR.

  4. Was thinking that today too, but they could also do Lolla.

Saw Touche Amore, Sparks, Rilo Kiley, Weird Al, Knocked Loose, and Blink 182. Rilo, Knocked Loose, and Blink all sounded fantastic, but KL was on another level, I'm so proud to see how far they've grown in the past decade. Weird Al was great for what I caught but that crowd was insanely huge. Had to cut a few sets for water, food, and merch, but got to listen to Camper Van Beethoven and Agnostic Front. Very fun day!

  8. Woof, I had not clicked through to the prices yet. I sure hope they got MCR then.

Yeah, it’s approaching Lolla pricing slow but surely. Yes, I know it’s still $100+ starting but I stand by the experience at Lolla is much better.

That’s with fees and everything. That’s what they were way back in December for this year. They are 250 with 50 in fees

this is my receipt for this year when I got them back in December

    Quick thoughts on Day One.

Rilo Kiley killed it. I was actually shocked how large their crowd was. For a pop punk oriented fest I didn’t expect that many people to turn up for them. Played everything you’d wanna hear. Feel like the backdrop screen was kinda glitchy though.

Weird Al, what in the fuck. He should NOT have been on that stage. The cluterfuck of people trying to watch him was wild, couldn’t get within earshot of the stage. And was messing up the crowd flow to the main stages. He should’ve been on a main stage for sure.

KNOCKED LOOSE MOTHER FUCKER. They absolutely ruled. That crowd went nuts too, they gotta be destined to be headliners one day soon.

Blink - I’ve seen them almost 20 times in my life, and that honestly might be the best set I’ve seen. Lots of deep cuts, Skiba coming out for BTD, and Stefan from Descendants coming out for Hope. It felt pretty special.

  14. Day 2 plan. Shorter one for me so I can have a full day again on Sunday. Wearing an All Get Out shirt and thinking about coming out of mosh retirement when Knuckle Puck plays “Evergreen.”

  15. Debating if I have it in me to roll up for Agent Orange to see them play Bloodstains (I like the whole album but like, that’s The One)

I was on the rail that split weird Al stage and radical stage, on the rilo Kiley side (who were fucking incredible), But sounds like over there we were insulated to the weird Al craziness because I had a perfect view, tons of room, and good vibes galore for als whole set, didnt even know there issues going on.

Did notice he skipped opening the show with Tacky, where he usually does a long walking backstage one take shot while singing (and includes hitting puddles with a pie). Heard him sound check it in the morning, I wonder if they realized it wouldn’t work with other stages going at the same time, like he wouldn’t be able to hear the timing with the band or something. Either way great show

So many highlights- puddles, barbarians, rilo, Al, Rico, blink.. it was a cool day on paper, but in practice was pretty magical

My day is GWAR, Citizen, The Front Bottoms, Dropkick Murphys, Jack White, and Weezer! Very excited for a more chill day today, I'll be in a black shirt that says, "I took my sidepiece to the Coldplay concert and it ruined my life" and cargo shorts!

I heard Weird Al had a crazily attended set, which I knew he was going to be popular but I did not realize THAT popular.

That blink set was euphoric. Best set I’ve ever seen from them. The descendants cover had me going nuts. And ONLINE SONGS

My day will probably be Gwar > Knuckle Puck > Beach Boys > Jack White > Weezer

Standing firm on my belief that if you’re going cashless the festival should eat the credit card fee. It’s a dick move to pass that on with no way to avoid it.
