Lightening bolts going off while Coheed ripped into In Keeping Secrets will forever be ingrained in my memory.
Wonder if it'll be actual weather updates on-screen or just a pre-recorded bit with band puns and festival references. "The forecast for today is blue with a chance of Pinkerton. But be sure to wear your Helmet because some souls will be bouncing as H2O free throws from the sky. Things might look a little wishy washy but the temperature will hit an all time low of 65."
Them playing IKSOSE:3 with all that lightning in the background was the most epic thing I ever seen at a concert.
Back to biting my nails about the weather on Sunday. Looking more and more like there's a chance for thunder showers... Gonna keep trying to force positive thoughts on that. Of all the fucking days of the weekend that's the one with the most "will be really bummed if I miss 'em" bands. Anyway... Looks like they're more formally dropping the map tomorrow? Interesting that it says "maps" too. Wonder if they're going into more detail RE: the RiotLand area.
Assuming the Riot/Roots swap is an error and not that they're actually switching which one is the main stage.
Assuming it's an error as well... The 2025 map they formally posted a few minutes ago has the standard designation.
MOE'S TAVERN?!?! not calling it a slam dunk, execution will determine that, but the potential is there
Guessing it'll be like the Quik Stop thing where the front will be pretty spot-on and the inside will look nothing like it. Haha. Kind of a cool collab, though, if they pull it off!
Looking at weather... Friday appears to be gorgeous. I'd trust that now. Saturday a small chance of rain in the second half of the day. Have to hope that the atmosphere doesn't get charged enough before then. Sunday - probably gonna be wet at some point.
Does anybody remember the year or two that we had a meteorologist on here that would pop-in and break down the Riot Fest weather forecast in a very detailed/nerdy way? I kinda loved that. But yeah, this forecast is starting to look a little better! Still potential for rain, but the "thunder/lightning" of it all looks tobe a much lower risk than it was before. Sunday had ~65% last night and its dropped to ~33% which is something to feel good about. Hoping the pattern sticks!
