i mentioned it a few days ago, but since then they changed one of them. so my initial post was 2 for 3, and as Meat Loaf once said....

 

Interesting to hear that they've since changed it up... Worth noting too that it doesn't look like there's an updated schedule just yet. But they were all going first on Rebel, right?

 

I would assume since they didn’t post the updated schedule with it that means there’s still the potential they add a band to that Sex Pistols slot.

 

yes they were all opening rebel, starting between 11:30 and 11:50 each day depending on when the next rebel slot starts...

 

As long as they don’t move dropkick I’ll be happy. I have an after show and are leaving after them

 

This is exactly what I didn't want to say aloud. Haha. But even if they don't have a replacement just yet, they're probably sorting out what they can do to fill-up a bit of time on that stage.

I honestly wouldn't hate them just cutting the Sex Pistols and bumping acts up a bit. It would mean I could catch the Damned and Agent Orange fully unconflicted. Haha.

 

also need to say that New Clear Fusion is a great band name

also also, they just scared the shit out of me because on the website, on the schedule page, they have it how they have always had it, with rebel stage as the 3rd column.... but on the build your own schedule page, Rebel is the 5th column, so i thought they were fully changing stage designations, but just formatting update instead? needlessly confusing, lol

and they changed again, Friday the local band is on ROOTS, while sat/sun they are on REBEL and looks like the damned have been scooted down to headline against weezer

 

Oh damn didn't realize La Rosa Noir was one of the locals. They're great, played a gig or two with them and their singer books some late shows at SubT.

 

Was really kinda hoping we'd get an Agent Orange bump so they wouldn't be up against H2O/Militarie Gun but... This honestly works out kinda nice for me.

It means I'll finally get to see Marky Ramone and all of the Dropkick Murphys. Means there's a bit of a conflict between Weezer and the Damned but... I'll probably split the difference and watch the end of the Damned as I'm on my way out of the festival.

The real winner in all of this is the Bouncing Souls, TBH. I'm guessing they play to a massive crowd given that there's literally only one act going up against them.

 

damn you're right, i was so focused on getting the new info straight that i didnt even notice how it helps me! my 3 way conflict is now just a 2 way conflict, and i have something to do between bouncing souls and dropkick (see marky!! woo hoo!)

 

And that one act is a bit of a one hit wonder in the US. I’ll probably try to see a bit of both and also grab food during that slot.

 

The build your schedule is different than the schedule on their socials and website. I’m sure that one is wrong, but it would work even better for me because it pushes agent orange out of conflict with H2O and Militarie Gun.

 

Also lowkey kinda love that the Dropkick Murphys are now going up against the most MAGA band on the bill. LOL

 

Yeah, that was my thought. I honestly wouldn't hate seeing a few James songs but I'll settle for the easy route of Citizen into the Souls. Benefit of switching around during the Souls though, is that it's an album play so you can probably pick what side of the set you want to see based on that!

(Of course, HISMSV is only 34 minutes and they always play those songs a little faster than the record... And they might put "True Believers" toward the end so maybe a bit harder to predict than others. LOL. But still.)

Oh shoot! This explains why my buddy was saying Agent Orange conflicted with Helmet... TBH, the "Build Your Own" version makes a bit more sense to me because the gap in bands would be earlier in the day rather than later. But logistically it's probably much simpler bumping up ~3 artists than a full stage. So who knows. Hah.

Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

 

No big issues with the schedule shift, though I realized I'm now going from Citizen --> Front Bottoms --> Dropkick --> Jack White so a LOT of movement, my feet are going to be so sore lol

 

I can give you a piggyback ride from Dropkick to Jack White if that helps!

 

Perfect opportunity to fix the KP vs. TFB and MG vs. H2O conflicts and they blew it!

 

I am bummed that it looks like they did not get a replacement for the Sex Pistols. Though I love The Damned and excited to see them, it feels like the value of the fest dropped a bit given the rise in ticket prices and now this cancellation.

This year already wasn't screaming "we've been around for 20 years and haven't peaked yet".

But I guess we have our first confirmed band for 2026, hopefully the Sex Pistols move down a peg on the lineup unless Jon comes back.

Food vendors just dropped! Great to see all the vegan options but I always wonder how many of these are just going to wind up being french fries. LOL

i went to the restaurant the thursday night before the fest and it was fun. if i remember correctly, people in groups of 4 or more could have their own table, but groups of 2 or solo, like i was, all sat at a giant center table and the food came out 'family style' which was kinda cool to have hang with strangers

was also the origin of Butter Stamos becuase the first course was cornbread with stamos shaped butter
