Those Blink-182 setlists have been pretty consistent and way better than anticipated! Getting Josie, Online Songs, M+Ms, Roller Coaster, and that Descendents cover is pretty awesome. I just wish they'd slot Dammit right after "Hope" so I could leave early. LOL Anyway...
So far the only changes that have been made are the removal of Bored To Death and One More Time. Otherwise it’s been pretty much the same
Yeah, caught that on the last show! Would be nice if they slotted that in for Riot Fest if only so I can leave early/right after Dammit. I know I'm in the minority with that one but I really dislike that song. All that said, seeing those setlists ramped my excitement up for seeing them from like, a 6.5 to a strong 9. Haha.
And they should definitely have enough time for the whole set at Riot Fest too. So I assume we will get a similar (or the exact same) setlist. Had definitely been planning to head to the exit while they play one more time, but guess I will stay until the very end now. Edit: Jinx!
I would also like to start a petition that they replace Down with one of the other songs they practiced.
Oof. Hope Steve recovers quickly! That really sucks for them. As for a replacement, I am locking in my guess right now: Iggy Pop. He's got two South American shows on 9/7 and 9/12 and then a short three-date run starting in Boston on 9/25. Each of those dates were with the Sex Pistols. EDIT: Social Distortion could work in a pinch too! Definitely not a 1:1 but would feel reasonable enough.
I'll take Frank reuniting Gallows. Forever one of my favorite Warped Tour sets in the middle of the pit.
Weezer vs Sex Pistols was an easy choice for me. I hope whoever the replacement is doesnt make this too difficult now!
Damn, my plan was to watch first half of Sex Pistols and then watch Weezer do Blue, but I can make due.
Marked safe from Morrissey! He's playing Chicago on 9/27 and busy that weekend. Phew. (Not that anyone was speculating him necessarily but he does check a few boxes as a reasonable/if they got depserate replacement.)
I was excited to see a bit of Sex Pistols, but I would not complain one bit if they threw that spot to Yellowcard. The ADTR tour is off that day and they're probably driving through Illinois anyway.
I could see them getting Yellowcard for that slot. Wasn’t it kind of confirmed that they were initially booked but plans fell through?
I'm seeing YC in November on that tour so Yellowcard away! Would be very odd to see them replace a '70s punk band with a '00s pop punk band though
Yellowcard would be an odd replacement for the Sex Pistols but I wouldn't hate it. I haven't seen them in a hot minute so...I could see myself skipping Weezer for them depending on what the setlist looked like. Related: Interesting how quiet Riot has been about this one. As of 50 minutes ago they re-shared the after shows calendar with the Pistols gig still listed (though the Concord site says its cancelled). They're usually pretty quick to update things like that even if they don't explicitly acknowledge it on the socials.
As much as I'd love Yellowcard, I feel like the replacement will be one of those other acts that is doing the CBGB fest the following weekend. Iggy Pop feels proper.
I definitely think Iggy is the most likely, TBH. But to your point... They also have the option of shifting the Murphys over to Rebel and slotting in a slightly smaller act for Radical (leaning into that CBGB Festival, I would be very stoked to get Gorilla Biscuits).
they better not mess with dropkick's placement!! the run of DKM -> Jack white -> weezer, with no overlap is the biggest win for me of the entire 3 days!
One of my favorite warped memories is Grey Britain-era Gallows getting into the crowd with an enormous circle pit surrounding them as they played. I would LOVE to get to see that band one more time in that form (not that Wade-era Gallows wasn't cool too, just not the same).
