They had AAR on there too... people shouldn't jump to conclusions

This is probably going to be my first RF since I started going where I don't buy a 3 day ticket. I never even heard of half of this lineup.

There is a lot of Angus soundtrack on this line-up!

this lineup is such a good recovery from how bad last year’s list was. great lineup. might have to get tickets.

By the way, if I haven't said, this lineup rocks and I will definitely be attending.

There will be bands added at some point per the riot fest lineup email. There’s a line in it about there being 90 plus bands on the lineup. Whether that’s the local stuff or bigger names is unknown

also some kind of announcement tomorrow plus more surprises along the way

    I’m thinking maybe album-plays tomorrow?

There’s really some weird gen x bookings on the undercard that are quite unique for literally any festival. Shudder to think, James, Didjits, and camper van Beethoven.

TFB is definitely doing Back On Top front to back based on their tweet.

Knuckle Puck doing Copacetic would make sense, especially with them billed over TWY.

Weezer at Riot Fest 2014 (also doing the Blue album) was one of, if not, the worst concert experience of my life.

As soon as Primus got done playing next door the back of the crowd all pushed forward and everyone got crushed, which lasted the entire duration of the gap between sets and then into Weezer’s performance.

I’d consider the Green Day day after skipping them at Wrigley last year (dumb)

  12. Can't wait for Green Day Insomniac/Warning playthroughs (it won't happen but I can dream)

They also played the worst side of the festival in that crammed in area.

  14. Hope TWY does No Closer To Heaven, though I suspect that’s more likely at an aftershow than the fest.

Riot is the only festival in the world where this makes total sense

No Gwar, no TBS, no LS Dunes and of course nl Andrew WK. Thats a first one where at least one of the the repeat bands arent part of the limeup

No Anthony Green in any capacity either, right?

That crowed absolutely sucked and people were extremely rude. I was trying to leave to go home almost got into a few fights. People did not want to move/thought I was trying to steal their view or something. Very frustrating end to a overall fun day

    Correct.

Surprised to see TSOAF didn’t make the lineup since it seemed like it would work with their tour schedule this year

Out of context this doesn’t make any sense and I love it.

I get The Beach Boys booking if John Stamos is playing, and it will be funny after all these years to finally see him on a Riot Fest stage (assuming he’s playing with them at Riot)…but at the same time it does feel like a wasted high up booking that could have gone to a more “legitimate” act.

As legendary as The Beach Boys are in the grand scheme of music history.... I mean, they've been doing half-assed amphitheater tours every summer for the past 30 years.
