    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

It didn’t come off as a clue to me but I could see them hinting at some bands.

I could see Weezer coming back as a co-headliner or direct support for a stage (like if Green Day plays).

I see a VIP laminate for Primus, but they’re ruled out already because they’re playing Chicago 7-11. Unless the radius clause is relaxed…

  2. Seems like there are just as many that are already ruled out or not possible bands in those tickets as actual possible clues. That said, would love to see Against Me! again.

I spy Misfits. Maybe they are announcing after Coachella due to Misfits and not Green Day like many were expecting

They just headlined in 2022, it would be a boring choice IMHO.

I don't think every band listed is a hint. But there's a few that are repeated that could be in play... A Day to Remember really sticks out in that way. Dead Kennedys, Yellowcard, and Against Me! are also each on there twice.

Bad Religion, the Prodigy, and All-American Rejects are highlighted enough that I'd be willing to bet those are "hints." Then again, Wu-Tang is also pretty prominently featured and they are out. As are the Dead Kennedys.

So who knows. But hey... If I can manifest Bad Religion, All-American Rejects, Against Me!, and Polar Bear Club I'll be happy! The Fest line-up tomorrow might shed some light on whether or not those two are viable.

Don’t think Against Me! is in play. Laura said in an interview pretty recently that the band was still on hiatus and there was no news regarding their future

    …unless she was being coy

Well Chuck Berry is dead so unless they plan to revive him from the dead then I don’t think they are all clues haha

I recall hearing something similar but it was within the context of Laura being willing to do it and other folks just not being into it at the moment. But that was at least 6+ months ago. Something could have changed.

But, as far as that band goes, I'm just chugging a whole mess of copium and hoping! LOL

Maybe it'll be his cousin, Marvin Berry, doing a set of his songs. Pretty sure he's still around.

I dont think every single ticket there is a hint, but maybe a few of them are.

Like yeah, Chuck Berry wont be there but I can see The Prodigy play again.

Unrelated to this year, but this MetalInjection article has some quotes from an interview with Mike Bordin (Faith No More) about the 2022 show cancellations...

"And it came to pass that when the gear was in the truck, when it was rolling to Chicago, 36 hours before we were supposed to be on stage, and our guy [Mike Patton] doesn't show for the rehearsal, the one rehearsal that we're gonna do. And we go to go see him and see what's going on. 'What the hell's going on here? Our gear's rolling already to the gig.' And it was very clear that he was unable at that point to physically do it. We made the decision that, 'Look, we've gotta support our guy.' It's gonna be a shit storm canceling fucking 75 shows, but none of us wants to be the guy that breaks his back and forces him to do something that he's not in the position to be able to do."

I'm looking back at that year and the replacements were announced on 9/14. So basically, Riot got the call and booked replacements in like 24 hours. Pretty fucking speedy even considering one key member was going to be there with Bungle anyway (Scott Ian) and the other they probably had on retainer just in case (Rise Against). But still!

I recall reading in an interview with her last year that she and James were talking again and hanging out more since she moved to NY (and he’s in NJ) which kind of hinted that the ball was rolling on the band getting back soon.

She also interestingly mentioned that she and Warren are on good terms again and he was in attendance at her wedding last year. So that kind of makes me think if/when the band gets back together, it’ll be the “classic” lineup

But the quote I mentioned in my first post was from a very recent interview, so it seems like nothing is happening for now.

It's really hard to say, TBH. I would feel more confident about some of them being hints if Blink or Alkaline Trio were represented.

A Day to Remember, the Prodigy, Bad Religion, and All-American Rejects feel like pretty obvious hints/teases given how prominent they are. And all would be at about the level we get when they do the video teases (sub-headliners or stage closers).

Considering their co-headlining tour this summer, could it be possible that DKM is in play too?

I’m curious to see how the lineup pans out in terms of punk and punk-adjacent acts. That NOFX stage last year was basically a huge stack of Riot bands that play every other year haha

Definitely possible. And worth noting they're doing a festival with the Pogues and Stiff Little Fingers here in MA too...

Doubt there will be as many "classic" punk bands as last year but I'm guessing there will be at least a full stage's worth on 2/3 of the days considering the rumored headliners and reunions (assuming those all hold).

Since the rest of the Dead Kennedys are out, can we please have Jello play a Dead Kennedys set?

Okay, so that Fest line-up doesn't have Gatsby's American Dream on it... They're still in the mix.

Also thinking there's a decent shot this is the year Propagandhi winds up playing because they seem to mostly be focusing on festivals here in the US. RX Bandits and Shelter album plays are also possible too, I think.

Banner Pilot and Audio Karate would be two other awesome/really fun early-day small scale psuedo-reunion sets too...

If TSOAF is in play, I could see Riot pulling some strings and getting Rx to play. The three main Rx guys will be there anyway

I'm not sure it would take much string pulling haha. Just put them on different days...

RX Bandits just finished up an album tour without a Chicago date. But that's likely because they hit Chicago in 2024 for that same album play. So maybe just a regular set if they wind up on Riot?

    Definitely seems plausible.

It just sank in that Propaghandi is playing Fest too. They’d be a cool get for Riot. Have they played before?

They didn't even register on that Fest poster but yeah... That would be awesome! They've got a Red Scare connection and doing a few other festivals earlier this year too so definitely a possibility.

Nope, they haven't played Riot before that I can recall. But they seem to really be leaning into festivals this year as they've got a few Canadian ones booked as well as Fest and several of those Punk in the Park things. All still independent stuff without major corporate sponsors as far as I can tell but...

They would be a really strong get for Riot. Fingers-crossed!
