Ben Folds has Riot Friday open…

Also the day Weird Al is speculated to play

I’m hoping my “Weird Al-curated stage” prediction is true

 

Ben Folds is playing in Chicago June 16

 

Would be rad, but this tour being solo piano makes me think he’s not super likely.

 

I'd love to see Ben (or a Folds Five reunion) at Riot someday

 

Just hit me that Streetlight Manifesto could be a potential stage closer this year on one of the three 'smaller' stages. They're dropping a new album and have a very light touring schedule this year. The shows they are playing though are pretty big (Punk in the Park headliner; outdoor Stone Pony show).

I'm sure they'll have more tour dates coming but... Definitely feels possible if not even likely.

AXS is showing a date at Salt Shed in August, so unfortunately I think they're out (although it'd be so nice to finally see them perform new songs at RF after their setlist has remained so static for the last decade lol)

Has anyone ever played an opening time slot at Riot then played a show in Milwaukee the same day? I kinda wanna see someone try

I'm a little surprised they weren't on BFF... Where are they teasing the announcement? I couldn't find it on their socials.

If it's recent I'm actually wondering if it might be Fest? Their first wave announcement is tomorrow.

Seems kind of doable? Play earlier in the day and then take the two hour trek.

If I'm recalling correctly the line-up usually drops on the app like, 30-60 seconds before it hits the web site. And the line-up is kinda hard for me to digest on the app but...

It worked on me. I downloaded the app.

 

I always have the app. I just think it’s funny they’re advertising it as a selling point for downloading when 1 minute isn’t a lot of time to go over an entire lineup when everyone has already waited so long. I’m not really complaining, just think it’s actually funny.

 

The "I spy with my little eye" caption makes me think there are some hints in the photos (The Prodigy, ADTR, BMTH, Thursday, Primus, The All American Rejects)
