they just played it in chicago, i believe w/ copeland and the dangerous summer. i could see them coming back but not super likely.
It would be a top tier troll if RF was waiting until after their show next week to announce Glassjaw and Better Lovers instead of announcing before Weird Al tickets go on sale or after Coachella for Green Day…
Tried my hand at this. Probably way off but I was bored and I’ve never done it. Plenty of it is wants but there’s some speculation too.
I’m hoping that we get a new clue or something tomorrow since it will be the halfway point between the announcement and the announcement of the announcement.
Between the chatter in this thread and one of my closest friends drunk-texting me from Delilah's last night about how much he misses me/hopes we get to hang in September... I got all excited at dinner tonight talking about it with my partner and pretty much convinced myself I'll probably need to go this year. So I went ahead and booked a refundable hotel room. Still holding on tickets until the line-up drops because my partner has to decide whether or not she wants to go. But I'm pretty much mentally locked in, I think.
That would be nice. Just one more! And really hoping for a fun teaser this year... I'm still a little shocked they have the announcement locked in so early this year (and that they announced it ~2 weeks in advance).
Stuck in a battle of should I buy an LCD Soundsystem ticket for Detroit or hold out hope they play Riot
Set Your Goals is a good one that will probably play. But for God’s sake I hope Riot doesn’t book 4 Non Blondes.
If they book LCD Soundsystem, how do you think they handle it? A straight-up headliner or blend 'em together with another artists as a co? Asking because Vampire Weekend and LCD Soundsystem on the same day would be a pretty strong get for an 'indie' day. Would also pair well with Rilo Kiley toward the top of the poster!
Yeah maybe I'm disconnected but I feel like the hype from LCD's reunion in 2016 has really died down, and they've been mostly subheadliners for the recent festival bookings.
This is the week after Riot. I don’t expect a lot of crossover, but I know Young The Giant have played before
