they are awesome, really enjoying their album. because his voice is so distinct, they sound just like "heavy awolnation". The Library & Dopamine Prophecy are my favorite so far assuming the deftones/idles/Barbarians tour does come to riot, and Deftones ascending to arena status - are they a bonafide number one at riot? or more of a postal service/queens shared headliner status?
Suicideboys announced a tour in September in the Midwest without a Chicago date: 9/14 Tulsa 9/16 Clarkston 9/17 Cincinnati 9/18 Louisville 9/19 Bristow 9/20 Burgettstown 9/23 Hartford Though going from Pittsburgh back to Hartford with Chicago in the middle might not make total sense? EDIT: Never mind, Tinley Park in August
Damn shame the Grey Day tour fell off. They used to get people like JPEG Mafia, Knocked Loose, Turnstile, Code Orange… maybe I’m getting old but I don’t recognize any of the support
It could go either way. I guess they could technically be a headliner... But having them share the slot with another decently-sized artist would be a safer bet for the festival itself. Especially since they played Chicago already this year, aren't a particularly unique festival get, etc. Would be really curious to see what Riot would book around them for a stage. Lots of different options in multiple directions.
I know it means literally nothing but the app icon on my phone changed to the new logo. Like I said, means little to nothing but it feels like progress.
A Blink 182 date with Alkaline Trio leaked for Buffalo, NY happening 9/11. This doesn’t really confirm either of them, but I get the feeling they’re more likely
if they indy date is legit i could see the routing that week being something like this: Indy the 17th, riot fest the 19th, shakes knees the 21st
Where did this come from? Nothing pops when doing a google search. (The Buffalo one pops up with the radio station that posted it early)
franz ferdinand is a hard 'possible' -fall tour announced, that starts riot weekend. -no chicago date but there was one 2 days ago on the spring portion of the tour -playing riot on the 19th is the only option, which would require 3 straight days (including chi->new orleans), which they dont do often on this leg except
Was thinking the same thing, not super likely but possible. Fly into Chicago, play Riot, fly to NoLa to start the tour proper. I’ve never seen them and would really like to. On another note, if Knocked Loose is on the Turnstile tour as rumored then they’ll be out too. They would be sick as a lead in to Blink on Friday.
If they aren’t on the turnstile tour Knocked loose has shows on the 20th and 21st. Don’t know how often they play shows 3 days in a row
I don’t think it would necessarily lessen GD. I mentioned this in the thread earlier, but I could see Riot going out for their 20th anniversary and having both bands headlining. This will now be the third year in a row that Blink plays Chicago right? 2023 tour, then Lolla 2024, and now Riot 2025? Since demand might be a bit lower for them, they could get away with Blink and Green Day. I could see this year being a more “headliner-heavy” lineup like 2023 was. If they were able to pull off Foo Fighters and The Cure, I don’t see why they couldn’t do Blink and Green Day
Also when it comes to price I could see blink take less so they could book both them and Green Day. they have a working relationship with riot fest.
