It’s quite possible that they’re way bigger in my head than their actual draw, but I guessed that they’d be like a tier below SDRE in terms of hype now.

 

They’re my second favorite 90s emo band after Mineral and the only important one to me that I haven’t seen aside from The Promise Ring so my personal hype is through the roof.

 

The “riot fest is in danger and must not have anyone booked” Reddit posts sure did seem to start early this year.

 

those posts are so annoying. both the lineup and attendance will be just fine especially without the drama of last year and a location locked down

 

Drama ?

 

Location was unknown for a while. Then once it was announced They ended up switching locations from Douglass park to bridgeview then back to douglass. That turned a lot of people off and people got refunds after the first switch. Don’t have to deal with that this year

 

Gogol Bordello and Bob Vylan are both out. They'll be touring Europe all September/October.

 

Hey Mercedes is teasing news today. I’m assuming they’re being announced for BFFF which could also put them in play for Riot

 

I'm guessing that BFFF line-up puts a few names in play most people hadn't been thinking on.

I’m glad you said this because in my mind I thought Deftones/BMTH would make a solid co-headlining day but I thought everyone here would disagree so I didn’t mention it lol

 

THE PINKERWINKERS are playing the small stage that day highly recommend them

 

Are we sure about Deftones? They are already playing here on their tour, aren’t they? I mean, it would be awesome. But I’m not quite sold.

i could see both the blink and good Charlotte stages being on riot

 

Not gonna lie. Blink-182 headlining a day and sharing the stage with Alkaline Trio, the Ataris, and a few of Blink's other "friends" from over the years would be real appealing for me (Descendents, MxPx, Home Grown, Unwritten Law or whoever).

Deftones, All-American Rejects, Scowl, and Story of the Year would be dope too. And I think that Snot "reunion" would be a sleeper for me. New vocalist is pretty solid all things considered and I'd love to hear some of those songs live. Would pair nicely with Deftones, TBH.

 

Story of the year is so out of place on Sunday. With that being said is this the year they finally play riot fest since they are playing fests around when riot fest is happening

 

If I had to slot them anywhere it would be on the main stage for the Deftones day. But I'd imagine Basement is cemented in that slot (justifiably) and SOTY wouldn't want to play under them (also justifiably).

A Riot slot for them would be awesome.

 

Off topic but 2019 was my first year & I went again in 2022, so I decided I think I'm gonna apply the Jimmy Eat World 3 year album arc to my Riot Fest attendance & go again this year. Plus, I need something to occupy my time & get excited about so hello again friends

 

2019 and 2022 have been two of my favorites years I have attended, you picked really good ones to go!

 

What years has everyone been to? I did one day in 2016, the entire weekend 2017-2019, and one day in 2022 (though I was supposed to do the entire weekend). The way the lineup's looking this year, I might try and do at least one day.

 

I went one day in 2013 (to see The Wonder Years, Hostage Calm, Dismemberment Plan, and Brand New, then like an idiot I left before the Replacements). Been every year since, only skipped the rainy Sunday in 2023.

 

I’ve still never been, lmao. I was supposed to go in 2021 but plans fell through

 

I’ve done it all since 2019 and I’ve gone to at least one aftershow each year.
