That would definitely make sense too. Would be a much shorter trek to Georgia from Florida too.

Any word on when Shaky Knees announces?

    Nothing mentioned on their site

Last year, the festival was in May and they announced the lineup in November.. so it should be fairly soon

I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's entirely possible that Rilo Kiley was in talks for Pitchfork before it got cancelled and don't have anything planned for Chicago because of that. These talks were certainly happening last year so Pitchfork was probably operating on the assumption of returning this year. Hopefully they are on a different fest or end up adding a headlining date here (I'm sure they have plenty left to announce).

whats our historical crossover with Oshega? their line up came out and i think tyler the creator and doechii would be an insane combo to headline a day (TtC would be a bonus for me but doechii + any hip hop headliner would be sick- kid cudi, rtj, miss elliot, gambino..) or hell she could even headline a roots stage with a rock headliner on riot like paramore

Tyler is pretty much a lock for Lolla, he’s also doing Hinterland the same weekend and if you’re headlining both you’re usually headlining Lolla, plus he cancelled at the last minute last year so this is him making it up even though he has two United Center shows in June. Doechii is also probably a lock for Lolla at this point.

I would have thought that there was zero overlap considering Lolla is the same weekend. But seeing past lineups in 2023 Riot and Osheaga shared 3 acts: PUP, 070 Shake and Cults. In 2022 they shared 2: Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Bleachers

Weren't they supposed to be going up about a week ago? Really just wish they'd reveal more hints or announce something. Haha. Anyway...

Less Than Jake, Fishbone, the Suicide Machines, and Bite Me Bambi are all out. Playing two nights at the Metro (6/25 and 6/26).

EDIT: Oh! According to the latest email there's more lineup clues coming soon (and they'll be posted to the app first).

Looks like Vampire Weekend is out

  10. I was going to post this and say that it looks more likely they're in. They could headline Friday and easily still get to the VA fest. Rilo Kiley playing before them that day then flying down to their Florida date makes sense too. That would be a wonderful main stage day.

    Why would they be out?

I guess its entirely possible they play Friday. I was just thinking with the multi day stay in Virginia they were gonna take the Friday to prep and get ready for that

Someone on the Lolla sub said they don’t think Vampire Weekend is playing Riot because they don’t fit as a “Riot band” but…what even is a “Riot band” in 2025? They get acts from all different genres and last year leaned a bit more heavy into the “indie rock” genre which Vampire Weekend falls squarely into.

Also yes give me Rilo Kiley into Vampire Weekend.

I'd have a hard time telling you what a "Riot band" is but it's pretty easy to spot when bands are decidedly not that. Haha. Usually only butt-rock and the majority of bigger metal bands that give me those vibes.

I think they're an aggressively boring/uninteresting band so they really aren't for me but... Weird to say they don't fit given their sound, general band history, etc. because they definitely do. And the VW/RK double-bill would get a certain group of people very stoked.

How is Death Cab for Cutie a Riot Fest band but not Vampire Weekend

Between that and LTL we should have a good idea what to expect. Do they usually release daily lineups for both fests? I don’t remember.

Shaky Knees usually drops dailies from the jump. And I’m pretty sure LTL does as well.

There isn’t usually much cross over between ltl and riot. Also 99.9% of all fest release daily line ups at some point. Ltl should be daily from the jump. Might have to wait a week or so for shaky knees if is isn’t tomorrow

There's usually a few bands on both (and I really mean just a few) but there's a few more that could have been on both that aren't. There were a bunch last year (~15). In 2023 there were a similar amount (~14). There's also 5+ other bands each year that were Riot alum.

The crossover is usually pretty subtle but it's definitely there. But I think it's more interesting this year because the two fests are the same weekend. So getting the dailies (coupled with certain tour routings) could help rule out some artists, or the absences of some could make them seem more likely.

This rules them out of Shaky Knees, and they are still open the 19th or 20th for Riot
