I'd be fine with Laura Jane/Catbite doing Op Ivy as a Riot aftershow, but now part of the actual festival.. it'll be announced so late that it wouldn't affect people from going or not going to Supernova

 

Doesn't take Paramore out unless we get other dates around it.

 

Cross country in a day seems tough but not impossible.

 

They could easily fly in, especially if they're doing a big stage production.

 

If Nine Inch Nails could fly from LA to Chicago in a day, Paramore can too

In a year without Slayer I wouldn't bother posting this but... Sepultra, Obituary, and Agnostic Front all out. Playing Concord Music Hall on 9/17.

 

Well that show is on Friday so Paramore could play Sunday but... I really doubt it. I don't think they'd have Paramore & Fall Out Boy both headline the same year, and I don't think Paramore would (or should) take less than a headliner spot.

 

I definitely get all that. But selfishly, since I can’t go to supernova, I want it at Riot!

Seems like Buzzcocks are indeed a lock. They have more dates listed. Still no Chicago and they are in Indianapolis on the 19th.

 

Laura Jane Grace is an exciting confirmation, I was listening to the new album yesterday thinking about how much I want her to come back.

 

Yeah, and certainly no judgement from me! It would just ease my conscience ("punk rock guilt," for lack of a better term) if they didn't do it. But if they do book it? It'll increase my odds of going to Riot by like, 75%. Haha.

Buzzcocks as a lock remains pretty solid! With everything we know already this feels like it could be a "light top-line, deep undercard" year akin to what we saw in 2019 which is never a bad thing! A lot of punk rock already...

 

Starset was just here in May, but that's a pretty ideal Riot Fest gap in their schedule on 9/22.

 

Perfume Genius in play?

 

I doubt that they would play RF but I would be happy if they did

 

i dont know anything about starset except that my brain lumps them together with skillet, so i have no idea if they are worth checking out.

 

Those Perfume Genius dates are East Coast and West Coast only so I doubt it?

 

Buzzcocks announced a show in Ferndale, MI on 9/17

 

We've had bands fly farther.

 

It's not very far off from Skillet, it's in the style of Breaking Benjamin and Red with heavy focus on electronic and space stuff

 

As much as I'd love this, he doesn't fit the Riot Fest mold.

 

Post on the subreddit about the park permit and neighborhood complaints - drink!
