I've been amazed by the demand for that whole tour. A full US tour, second US tour for b-markets, and now off to Europe.

 

Wasn't that show also announced significantly after the Riot Fest line-up dropped, though? Or it was announced before and it was already sold out when the line-up dropped?

Not that it was really on anyone here’s radar but Bilmuri is out. I really wanted him, but I might be in the minority.

 

BRB. Need to make a Reddit burner account so I can make a post about how Ed Sheeran should headline now that he's confirmed to have "punk roots" a la the Offspring and that's the reason why the line-up is being announced later.

 

Big if true! Maybe we can have the entire Swift Mafia and get Bleachers, Paramore, and Lana too!

 

Other than reposting Gel’s tour announcement, the Riot Fest twitter has been pretty quite. Maybe a little too quiet!

 

TBH, that tour announcement is so good I'd sit out the rest of the day too if that's what I was dropping.

For real, though, don't we know that we're waiting until at least next week, anyway?

 

Balance and Composure / Kevin Devine / Milly all probably out (playing the Riv in October, same day as one of the Get Up Kids shows too).

Charly Bliss is out too. Bottom Lounge show on 9/13. Oddly, they have a Denver date on 9/20 and the rest of Riot weekend free.

I'm confident they'll never play the festival at this point.

Unfortunatey I'll be out of town for those midwest dates. Oh well.

Charly Bliss should have been a shoe-in for this year, but I will probably be at the Bottom Lounge show.

 

That is the weakest Wicker Park Fest lineup I've seen. Guess I'm not cool anymore.

 

I haven't even heard of a single band on it.

 

I saw the Lolla aftershows schedule and besides 3-4 artists I didn't recognize any of them.

 

Buzzcocks and maybe Grumpster probably locks

 

I would say they are likely. But Riot is in between this tour and their tour with Circle Jerks. So I don’t know which bands will be there (if any) with the Descendents. Could be all of them though.

 

Jamila Woods is R&B, she's from my hometown. She has done collabs with Chance the Rapper before. Aside from her and Superdrag + La Luz (who I mainly just know of by name) I also don't recognize anyone lol. The band Hello Mary is supposedly on the lineup this year so there should be more acts added.
